I take everything that any company puts out (no limited to the automobile industry) with a grain of salt, but I haven't seen anything so far that's beyond reasonable as far as speculations go. For example, more than 30K C7's were sold per year during its first three years so it's not unreasonable to think that C8 with match those numbers, perhaps more if GM delivers on their promise. 2014 base C7 MSRPed for $51,995 so 2020 C8 having MSRP of less than $60K's also reasonable (it'll be hard to back away from that figure since that's been stated at the reveal event). Sure, adding options will push it up higher but that's no different than other cars. I'm pretty sure there'll be some dealers attempting to add ADMs on C8's, but if anything, GM is known to pumping out as many Vettes as people are willing to buy them, so I foresee overall street price for similarly trimmed C8 being lower than GT350s or GT500s.https://www.autoblog.com/2019/07/28/2020-chevy-corvette-nearly-sold-out/
Don't believe everything you read more hype to sell more cars.
