2019 Mustang Orders Placed Thread (Vote/Share Here)

Good to see the orders coming in. Getting a special order in less than three months is really nice. The steering wheel shortage caused a lot of delays. I am thinking my dealer did not have an allocation last Oct. and when he finally did the steering wheel dilemma may have set my car on the sidelines.

Today the tracking site has my "in transit" days increasing while the EDD has passed. No update the last 2 days

No allocation and caught in the steering wheel shortage was exactly my issue. But once the wheel got put on, the time it took to get my order to the dealer in Illinois was just a few days. Hopefully your location will help get you get yours sooner than some people in other states. Although Canadian orders seem to get delivered super fast too lol.

Well, Toronto order certainly do, considering it's only about 30 miles from the plant. Single short truck ride and they're done.

check with Ford Performance chat. They should know where the car is at if it's in-transit status! Btw, just got mine today, have had a bad case of perma-grin ever since my salesperson called me this morning LOL

Depends on who you get. Many (most?) of the reps will tell you the rail junction and date at that junction. Some will just tell you "In Transit" and won't go any further, even if asked.

Very true. The first rep I ever got told me that "no, the train couldn't be tracked." Luckily all the other reps after that gave me the info on which station/city it was by.

Congrats! Saw the pics in the other thread. I think that was the first Magnetic PP2 that I have seen. Looks slick!

Thanks! It's an amazing color for the PP2. The rims and spoiler go well with Magnetic. The color itself is also very nice in person. Lots of metallic flakes, hard to capture in pictures tbh. Here's a poor attempt at doing so using my cellphone. It almost looks like too many flakes here, but in person that is not the case at all

Still waiting on VIN for Ruby Red PP2 that I ordered on 2/16. Ford Performance says order is Clean/Unscheduled. I guess I must wait a bit longer.

I ordered mine 2/18 still no VIN.. the dealer is no use, they never get back to me to let me know some kind of status.. I should have ordered it from a different dealer, by the time they get allocation, the 2020 models will be rolling down the line

Yep, CS2000 2020 orders will be taken the end of June. I got my VIN from the tracking website. Hindsight is 20/20. Had I known I was going to go through all this waiting I would have bought one off a lot. At the time Ruby Red GT Prem. w/ A10 and Ceramic int. were not to be found. Now that I have waited so long I have seen a few while shopping online that were not far off from what i was willing to pay for. My dealer had enough foresight to allow a high trade-in that would be good until the order was delivered just to keep me in the deal.. I think he knew it was going to take longer than the 10-12wks for delivery. I could not find another dealer that was willing to allow the high trade-in. Now it has been so long since the deal was made, Ford is discounting some of the 2019 cars that have sat awhile making for some good deals that may now be just as equitable, but kinda too late for that

Not sure if this is random luck or common but I got my VIN in 9 days.

Hey Buzz, i think once an order has been accepted the VIN# will be generated soon afterwards. You should be one that gets his car within 3 mos. barring any parts shortages or work
delays.

My situation hopefully was/is not common or contagious. Good luck
