Thanks Tomster, I'm basically a new Mustang guy and appreciate your knowledge of Fords inner workings but I'm slowly catching on.
Now with that said, my take on the 19R goes as follows and correct me if you think differently.

Between the low volume produced in 19 on the R's and possibly the last year of the flat plane crank this car should hold some value?
It's only the lats year of the FPC if it's the last year of the GT350. I am not sure that has been decided. I hope it is, but I'm not sure.

I read they migh use CPC from the 500 in 2020 350? Read it on the internet so it must be true.

I'm not sure there will be a 2020 350. Does anyone have anything official? What I have heard from some of these videos is that the '19 350 will share the showroom with the '20 500. I've heard the 350s will share the 500 block for a while, but that has nothing to do with CPC vs FPC.

I think '19 may be it for the 350. (I'm not saying that with any absolute certainty).

Are you talking production numbers for the 2018 R's since the 2019 R's have just started production with no one knowing what Ford's plans are for the 2019 MY?

Would be sad if this is the last year of the 350 with the FPC.
Unless Ford changes its mind and offers the 500 with a Manual.

My crystal ball is in the shop. I would have guessed that '18 was it way back when.

You know something we don't?
Don't be surprised to see a limited edition manual transmission car going forward with the designation possibly being "GT500KRR"
but many obviously many other hurdles to jump prior to the launch of a manual transmission car.

:)

Hi Tomster. I know we hear different things from a variety of sources. Here's a clip of the recent Shelby Bash in LV. The focus is on the GT500, but luckily Jim Owens Marketing Manager for Ford Performance whose one of the leaders on the Shelby program is asked directly "how much longer are you guys going to do the 350". The words from Jim's mouth (at 3:45 in the clip above) "the only thing we've said is through the 2020 model year". Let's keep our fingers crossed that's the case (for all of us with pending orders waiting to get builds scheduled) ;-)

Given the amount of changes for 19 MYr, my crystal ball says 2 more years of GT350 and one only for the R (that includes 19 MY) :)

Received my VIN for my 19 GT350R. Goes into production second week of May and delivered June 22. OW with black stripes and painted black roof. I can finally relax now know that I have a tentative date.
