Where and how did you get your VIN?
My dealer told me he will get the VIN only when car arrives in Zeebrugge, not before.
I have order number and dealer code, but it's worthless since COTUS isn't working any more.
Well I can definitely say that your dealer is lying.

This is my second order in less than an year (the first went bad, I told the story on this forum, take a look at my previous posts if interested) and in both cases I received the VIN far before the arrival in Belgium.

First order (the bad one): made in May, did again in July due to rep incompetence, VIN received by mid-august, ETA November 2018

Second order: made on 15th of december 2018, VIN received by mid January, production on 18th of march, ETA at Baltimore for shipping by the end of April, ETA here in Spain in July.

Again, go ask to your rep about allocation because the lie about Zeebruge is bad omen.

EDIT: with dealer code and order number you can try using this chat powered by Ford Performance. They can give you the same infos that COTUS was able to give us

Each dealer has a priority range, but 10 and below are only at the district level. The big multi-store dealers get that way by having enough sway to jump the line and get vehicles before the smaller dealers.

The problem is that the cars built without steering wheels present a unique problem that Ford has no clue how to resolve. On the line, the steering wheel is 5-10 minutes of labor, but off the line that become over an hour and involving probably two or more people.
That’s the thing tho, it’s from a really small local dealer that doesn’t turn nearly the invantory of the larger dealers, but I have purchased 6 new ford including 3 Ford Performance vehicles off them in the last 5 years if that meens anything

He's lying or he's incompetent.
I have to visit my dealership again.

I read about this your story. Sad one.
But the VINs you received were from your dealer or somewhere else?

Thank you for the link.
I have already been on Ford Chat back in December 2018 but without success. They said it's export order so they can't help. Which is strange, since there are people from EU in this forum which managed to get VIN on this Chat.

I will try again to contact Ford Performance Chat later today.

I had to call them, in both cases and they sent me a screenshot of their VISTA.

What is the format of your order code? Numbers only? Numbers+letters? Did the dealer give it to you?

Here is information dealer gave it to me end of September 2018, 10 days after my order was placed.
Order Number: J1537
Dealer Code: SJ009
Dealer Number: 4136
This would be normally enough to get VIN from COTUS, only that this service was not working any more.

I had to call them, in both cases and they sent me a screenshot of their VISTA.
Do you still have their telephone number?

If someone who thinks they are only waiting on a steering wheel gets any updates or if a miracle happens and your online tracking data actually changes to “Awaiting Shipment” please let us know in this thread. I think Zooks527 is one of the earlier dates so that one might get done sooner than others. We have to be own our customer service here I guess!!

My Blend date of 01/23/2019 on Ford’s tracker shows a delivery date 36 days from today (3/10/19), up 2 days from when I last checked on 3/8. It finished production, as I understand it, on 2/5/19 and now sitting for that “steering wheel”. With no honest info coming from the dealer, I wish we had some way of getting accurate shipping dates. So frustrating...
Does your online tracker say “Awaiting Shipment” ?

I’m skeptical of the “Awaiting Shipment” meaning you’re in the clear. My tracker has been in this stage for around 2 weeks with no update. Blend Date was 2/25. With it getting closer I’m wondering if I’m all of a sudden going to get a call saying it’s here come get it. Or it’s seeing snow in an old lot in Michigan

Man, I'm not sure I'd take that bet. With a "put it over there" type exception, it may come down to something as silly as what cars are easier to move around in the storage lots.

Have you tried Ford Performance Chat to see what they say about your car?

I think your car has a wheel. It was produced after mine but moved to Awaiting Shipment. Mine went into production 2/19 so it was without a wheel still not finished production even tho a week before yours! Zooks527 wasn’t 2/25 one of the production weeks with a wheel?

"Them" are the dealers' reps. I had to call the reps and ask them to give me the VIN because both are/were passive and quite incompetent. At least the actual one is transparent, I just need to call him and ask.

To tell you something they didn't even know how MAGNERIDE actually works. They (both) asked me why I wanted that expensive feature so badly. I had to explain them the magnetic thing and so on, that changes the car behavior etc...

Btw I clearly remember that when I saw the screenshot taken from VISTA there were 2 order numbers. Don't know which one is the one to use because I always used the VIN.

Have you tried using ETIS?

Edit: forget about ETIS. I remembered that only works with VINs and plate numbers
