I live in Broomfield, a little north of Denver. Aside from heading up to the peak to peak highway, where do you go if you want to do a little "spirited" driving? Are there roads east or north east of Denver that you can air it out safely? Or if you want to travel a little further, what is your favorite place to go to just enjoy driving your mustang?

Thanks

I have always liked Lyons to Estes park early in the morning.

My favorite is Evergreen to Idaho springs via Squaw Pass.

I live in Broomfield. I've thought about going up Hwy 72 (Coal Creek Canyon) to the peak to peak hwy and down to Lyons and back home. Have you had to worry about deer or elk early in the morning?

Is Squaw Pass road in good shape? That sounds like a good run.

What do you two do to avoid speed traps or tickets in general?

Thanks

It's not a good road for winter time but the road itself is in very good shape and since it's out of the way, not much traffic or police.

The road has some steep drops so a good portion is pretty safe from wild life. I have never had an issue but it's mountain driving so a bit of caution and looking as far up the road as possible is always a good tactic. What does worry me on these type roads that are cut out of the mountain is coming around a corner and there is a 30lb rock in the middle of the lane. That has surprised me and they are hard to spot.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. Now if the weather would just stop snowing and warm up a little bit, I could get out and actually drive my new mustang.

I drove up to Blackhawk from Golden and that was a pretty nice drive...
