Hi. Anybody convert a GT base to a quad exhaust? The base doesn't have that diffuser part you can just swap out. Is there a way that doesn't involve swapping out to a premium rear bumper cover and then changing that diffuser part?

I don’t think you can add it to a base rear bumper. You have to have the premium in order to add a quad diffuser.

If you do not swap out to a premium bumper and want to stay with your original bumper, the only choice you would have is to cut into the section/area where the exhaust tips exit out and make it wider to fit dual tips.

I have seen someone do it on the board and it looked Ok I guess.

Otherwise there is no choice but to get the premium bumper.

I am in the same boat and have been debating for some time now to go to a premium bumper.

If you do go to a premium bumper, you may also want to consider the newer 18+ GT rear bumper and diffuser as that can accomodate dual tips and would be completely OEM.

Have not seen that bumper yet on American Muscle or anything but I am sure you can order it from somewhere.

I didn't realize the rear was so different. I like that one.

With all due respect I suggest you don't do that on the cheap. Just save your money until you can do it right. You'll be glad you did.
