I think it's time to trade in Big Yellow on a 10spd auto/Ecoboost car. I just can't do the clutch pedal anymore, driving in DC traffic. I have an issue in my foot, and the pain is consistent now. I can't live on ibuprofen, it's bad for your heart.

So.......damn.....well........

Plus, I'm driving too fast in B.Y. It's too much fun to haul around in her. And I got a big, fat, huge speeding ticket in a National Park yesterday.

Christ........I know I'm going to regret this, but I can't avoid it.

Soooooo.........damn.

Don’t forget to look at other cars if you do sell. There’s a whole world of cars out there. New cars and new communities. If you live in a snowy area, then buy a beater, store the car, rest your foot and revisit things in the spring.

Christ........ why am I stalling? I know I'm not going to regret this, so why am I still avoiding it.

Soooooo.........damn.
Here, I found some obvious typos, so I fixed them up for you.

Yep, sitting here considering if there's any other cars I'd like to consider. Can't think of any.

I think a 10A/PP/200a Ecoboost would be perfect.

Although, considering how I've been driving, I probably should skip the PP. It just seems to get me in trouble.

Yeah, I'd like to consider a PP/10A car, but it's just too rich for my blood.

But who knows, I'm waiting on my bank to get back to me about financing.

Remember it's the driver, not the car. You can get into trouble even with a cheap eco car. Some blast by me on my commute to work, they must have have it floored everywhere. Back road sped limits that are anywhere between 45-55 I already do 60 and some of thee cars, geez, fly by me doing 70, 80 and 90 MPH- in suv's, trucks, and eco cars. I say let them get the speeding tickets. I'll drive my semi-fast car slow, enjoy rowing the gears, the sound and feel and keep my insurance rates rock bottom.

I understand on the $$$ thing with EB vs GT but since you really would rather have a V8 you might be able to rationalize getting a V8 you are more likely to keep for a long time vs an EB that you are more likely to replace much sooner and therefore take a bigger long term $$$ hit. Just don't go wild on the GT options.

Also known as "racer math".

Regarding speed as others have said "restraint" is the key. Just put the 10A in drive and normal mode and you will be less likely to speed than when you go through the gears in a manual.

Yeah, I'd like to consider a PP/10A car, but it's just too rich for my blood.

But I do know I'm done with base cars. I want SYNC and the better stereo, most importantly. I just want 101A/301A, because I don't want a Premium car seats.

But who knows, I'm waiting on my bank to get back to me about financing. It appears as if should you choose to use Ford Credit financing, you lose some rebates/discounts.

This isn't about the gas pedal, it's about my damn left foot. And yes, I love the hell out of my car, I just can't do the clutch anymore.

BTW: I’m one of those guys discouraging trading in new cars. If the foot problem really is chronic that is one thing. The speeding tickets are a laughable joke to me and no reason to sell at all. When I quipped I made Bluebeast look like Mother Teresa I wasn’t kidding. First two years of 5.0 ownership got me 20-24 tickets (getting old and can’t remember) but only four convictions. One disappeared after an extended marathon “Perry Mason” court case where I pulled out every trick in the book starting with motions to quash and the like. They just made it disappear after the conviction, probably because I didn’t bore them - I really think it was that.

Two other convictions were bargained down to meanlinless status. The worst was a police chase where they claimed I drove 160 in a 60 zone (I can’t remember if I passed any school zones but the accurate story is in another thread here) with my headlights off as it was like very late in the night. I ditched the car in some driveway and hid. They found me but I dodged an arrest, made it to work in time. Submitted a Charter Application (constitutional challenge) and everything got dropped except for one ticket 15km over (so no points either) which I was still pissed off at.

So don’t let a ticket influence you at all. The foot problem maybe... I like your GT but do what you have to do...

If you want a commuter car, buy a 90's Honda Accord. It'll never break. :)

Just to clarify; I wouldn't trade in for an auto due to the ticket. It's about the pain in my foot.

My current issue is the slim selection on 2018s.

You would think a 4cyl auto would be a dime a dozen.
