Can anyone confirm the steering wheel controls, specifically the up down left right OK and the vol+ vol- fwd rew and OK are the same size? I am swapping controls through forscan and would like to use the buttons from an 18 if so so that they match what functions I am using them for. Thanks

I hope you have success with this as I have been very interested in this too. Have wondered if the switch modules from an '18 will plug and play with just swapping the harness plugs over to opposing side.

Update to this question. Yes it works with minimal modifications to the wire harness and plugs. I compled this recently and am very pleased with it. I have always preferred audio control on the left side of the steering wheel. It just seems to make so much more sense, easy to see why Ford changed for ‘18.

Do you need to actually do anything like cutting/re-wiring to the harness or just swap them around?

You will need to cut and lengthen some wires to reach the other side due to how the harness is built. The plugs will interface with the new switch modules. It all makes sense if you go slowly and see which wires need to reach to. I have had this running without any problem for about 4 years. The only thing different with the switches is on the left side where the voice control button is marked with an X over a horn symbol. As long as you keep in mind that is what the button is actually for it will still activate the voice control.
