You may want to consider XPEL over the 3M. Everything I have read is that it is better.
:coolphotos:
Yeah I said 3M as most understand what it is. I heard of the XPEL, the material actually to be used is called Suntec, similar properties

My 2019 came in on Friday. Today I went in and drove it to fill it up with gas with the sales rep. They need it for a couple days for the interior protection and to install rust inhibitor. Pick it up Thurs, 9am, then straight over to a detail shop that'll put on the 3M clear wrap and ceramic coating.

First impression, was wow. Love it. I like the rev match, so I can be lazy but yet enjoy the MT. Hadn't tried out the B&O.

Congrats! That's got to be a good feeling. So do all dealers do interior protection and rust inhibitor? What exactly do they do for the interior? I'm down in TN so I don't think they'd do a rust inhibitor since we barely ever get snow.

Congratulations on the 19... same question though. Are they all supposed to do it. I’m in nj where we get snow ( not that she will be in it) but want to make sure they don’t cheat me out of it. My 19 should be here in a week or so. Thanks.

When I bought my Ford Truck I was sold an add on package at the dealership. I chose only the rust inhibitor but they had an interior protection and a paint protection.

The rust inhibitor is an option along with the other protection & appearance packages dealerships offer. This one comes with rust check spray. This car will be my DD, even in winter... so I'm doing my best to keep it in great shape for years. I also added block heater.
I imagine different regions will have different options and packages. The interior protection includes rip, leather damage, along with what is kinda like scotch guard, but it's the sharkskin. I declined it for the exterior since it's just a wax.

Oh ok, so it was an option, got it! I just didn't want my dealer to say "surprise, we've got to keep it longer!" :)

The $1000 retail customer cash on the 2019’s increased to $1500 today and is good until 10/1. With my EDD of 8/5, that works for me. Getting more excited wish Ford would get that beauty on a rail car soon. It’s just sitting there.

No. Even if it is your daily driver. Just about any consumer organization (especially auto related ones) will advise against it. Here are just 3 articles:

I got a deal on the protection packages, so it made sense to me. As far as rust proofing, I wouldn't bother if your car will never see salt. I read the links above regarding rust proof. Whatever "protection" comes from the manufacturer isn't going to last long.

My experience for example. My parents had a 2010 F150, My brother and I had 2011 F150s. Parents did rust spray every 2 years. My brother annually. They both got rust in the rear fender around the 4-5 year mark. I opted for the electronic rust inhibitor plus annual spray, result no rust after 7 yrs, except a small portion at the exterior cab/box light that was recent. Maybe I was a bit more fortunate. Is any protection going to stop rust from happening? No. But it will significantly slow it down. Regular cleaning will also help.

In addition, these packages usually come with a warranty, and most places such as Rust Check will warranty the work. So if any rust were to happen, it's on them to fix/replace. For me, I sleep better at night ;)

Just got a cotus checker email. Says my bullitt is in transit with an EDD of 7/25 (that's 5 days later than the very first EDD I had). Interestingly enough, cotus itself still shows awaiting shipping.

Edit: To add more confusion, www.cotus.ford.com hasn't updated to in transit, but www.cotusb.ford.com has.

COTUS has now dropped my EDD. Was 08/04. I don't think it is a reliable way to track your car. I'll contact my dealer in a couple of weeks and see what info they have. Hopefully it doesn't sit on a siding for three weeks once it gets here like Allegro's.
