Instead of a simple solenoid door release like every other damn car Ford decided to go with a complex anti-siphon system that causes all kinds if issues if your nozzle isn't the precise width and length.

Ford then did two things to make it all better.

One, make no interior release mechanism and no optional locking gas cap to force you to do things their way.

Two, include a silly little funnel so you can do an emergency fill up or put in a gas additive, all while protecting you from vandalism not at all.

Sigh.

I posted in a different thread on this but again,I will buy any aftermarket solution instantly.

Agreed, and surely it cannot be too hard to make a LOCKING FUEL PLUG for the S550(2019 in my case) as I would like to prevent any thing getting passed the first 'flap' and then being accidentally pushed into the fuel tank the next time I fill up!

Weird I've never had any issues like this ever. I'm able to pour Lucas fuel clean in there as well without any problems
Probably because the Lucas bottle neck is pretty much the same size and shape as that little emergency funnel supplied in the spare tire well.:like:
