My EDD hasn't been pushed back yet and still shows Delivery in 2 days, but I'm expecting my EDD to be pushed back too. Can't explain why, but I now don't expect my car to ship until sometime next week :(

Wonder if they’re shipping anything during the 2 week plant shutdown that’s happening right now.

Are these new COTUS dates from today or previously (a few days ago)?

My COTUS report is still showing EDD as 7/30 as of just now. Spoke with Ford directly last week and they said the car was still in production and showing them an ETA of 7/24-7/30.

Per Ford Performance chat - "in transit by rail in Battlecreek, Mich, ETA 7/13 - 7/19". My COTUS hasn't updated.

Well, at least that tells me COTUS is updating.

Unfortunately, there hasn't been any change on my build status since 2018-06-20 except on the 26th when it provided an EDD of 7/30.

The car has been showing "In Production" since 06/20. That's a full 2-weeks by the end of today. Seems much longer than normal. Am I correct on that or just anxious? Sure hope there isn't an issue but beginning to wonder.

Chat just told me the same thing. COTUS says awaiting for shipment and he told me in production as of 6-21 with a EDD of 7-2 to 7-8. He also told me they would not be shipping until the factory opened up. I am really confused right now. 11 days on the line?

I just talked with Chat too and they also said delivery between 6/30 and 7/6. When I said that clearly won't happen since the car hasn't shipped yet, they said that with the new model year they often hold cars for additional quality checks and sometimes don't ship as soon as they're produced. I think especially for us Bullitt orders, there's a few new and unique things and I have a feeling they're doing extra quality checks. And with the plant shut down until next week, I wouldn't expect any movement on orders until next week, especially on Bullitts. The 4th of July holiday in the middle of the week probably doesn't help things either :/

One of those situations where "ignorance is bliss" is rather appropriate.

Still possible that many of the cars may meet their EDD, but knowing the rough status without knowing the actual details nor what is within the "normal" range, is what is creating the anxiety.

Great of Ford to provide a greater level of detail than any other manufacturer that I'm aware of, but for those of us waiting with builds that don't appear to be moving along at the pace we expected, it is making for some anxious expectant parents. I certainly wasn't as obsessive over the birth of my two children. ;-)

I certainly understand how you feel. I know I won't get mine till late sept at the earliest since I just ordered on 6/22. But the wait for it to even show up in Cotus or get scheduled has me obsessively sitting at my computer refreshing cotus.

Thanks Matt. The QA makes sense and is what I thought. It just caught me off guard when he told me in production when COTUS said awaiting shipment. It might be the terminology two different systems use. When does the factory open back up?

I still wish they had a factory delivery option like Corvette. That would cut out half of the waiting game for those willing to travel. I know the wait will be worth it but yeah, with each passing sunny summer day I can't help feeling like I'm missing out a bit while the car just sits at the factory. I was also excited about the possibility of getting it this week to have it for my birthday this weekend. Would have been cool but oh well. First world problems, not a big deal.

I believe some people are back to work on Monday the 9th, but the actual production line I think doesn't open back up until the 16th according to the Blue Oval Forums. I think for cars that have already been produced there's a chance to see some movement next week, but could very well be radio silence until at least the 16th. Sounds like it could be a long month lol.

Agree completely - First World problems that we definitely need to take with a grain of salt.

Like you, I'm wanting mine to arrive before my birthday (July 29th). At least that's still a possibility for me. Sorry it didn't work out for you Matt, but like you say, we'll survive. ;-)

Factory delivery would be a smart thing for Ford to start doing, at the very least for their Limited Edition models. As I've mentioned previously, most of the European manufacturers have that option for folks from North America (don't know if buyers from within that country can do it).

Before the Bullitt was announced I had a BMW M2 Coupe spec'd out and was going to do the European delivery to pick it up at the factory for my vacation in Italy this November. It works great. You fly in pick up your car and get to drive a fabulous car, vs a rental car, around phenomenal roads for two weeks. Then drop it back at the factory or several other designated drop-off points and fly home to have your car arrive at your local dealer in 1-2 weeks.

If Ford did it here, like Corvette does, I'd gladly fly in and Road Trip it home. In 1987 I bought a new Merkur XR4Ti (monochrome white) and drove it directly to Ford Headquarters (1,400 miles) to meet with the then SVO folks. It was a very nice experience.
