I did the Power Tour in 2017. I did not take my Mustang (I went with my father in law and we took his 03 Z06). I had a great time.
-Just be prepared to hear a lot of BS about you having a new car on the tour.
-Be prepared to see more 69 Camaro's than you probably ever could imagine (all with almost identical modifications too). I used to enjoy 60's Camaros but after the HRPT, I can't stand them.
-Also, I had a lot of people talking shit when they found out I am a Mustang owner. I guess I should have expected this since it is a Chevy/GM sponsored show.

Overall, I would do it again.

- I heard not a bad word about me driving my 17 Mustang
- I did see a lot of 67-69 Camaros...all of them were great to look at, but....
- I didn’t hear anything about me driving a Mustang

- there were several pickups and station wagons...all of them were pretty cool to see
- a lot of vettes...their drivers were not liked since they drove like a-holes
- a lot of cars at all the hotels...each night was its own car show...fun to walk around and talk to everyone

I will try to do the HRPT again in the future...lots of fun

I'm glad you had a good time. Depending on the route, I will be doing it next year, in the Mustang. I followed the tour in the facebook group and their seemed to be much more negativity this year than in years past. I did see a lot of people complaining about the corvette drivers. Doesn't surprise me though, most of them drive like they are the only car that matters. I also noticed more wrecks this year. Did you notice a lot being on the tour? *Edit* and the parking lot parties at the hotels are just as fun if not more fun than the events during the day.

I only saw the few 3-4 wrecks posted on Facebook, none in person...but number of wrecks was probably in line with previous years, from what I gathered chatting with others. You will always have those that will try to show out a little and lose control, while other accidents were just unlucky situations.

The negativity on Facebook was just that, on Facebook. I didn’t meet/talk to a single person who wasn’t having a great time. The very small vocal minority can talk up a storm about their terrible experience, but those people are probably not happy about a lot of things.

I’m not sure if I’ll go again next year...thinking about doing the Route 66 Tour/drive out west.

LOL, I feel the same way about '69s, if I never saw another it wouldn't bother me one bit. :lol:

Love a '70-'73 though.
