Hello all, will be trading in my 15 ecoboost for a 2018 GT. Black premium rims on black paint. So any big things I should do when I get it, after having an ecoboom, I want to make sure car is taken care of, and warranty is kept for now. So only mod I will be doing is a catback. Is a catch can/oil separators a good idea on these like they are recommended on ecoboost.? If so what brand and which ones? Thanks. Any other info let me know too.

I ran my GT for 2 plus years hard at our local HPDE events, I'm a Senior Instructor for Porsche NA and BMW, so I do run pretty hard. The mods I did were xpipe and program. Nothing else. Keep the revs up and the car will run strong. Good luck.

I red lined my GT on the way home from the dealership lol.
97% of the engines that are produced will not give you problems. Keep in mind people only post about the bad ones, but remember how many GOOD ones are out there that no one posts about. I put a supercharger in my car at 3k miles and haven't looked back! Just gotta trust the people who machined the engines didn't cheat with the dimensional tolerances :p

Catch can is always a good idea!
I got most of my stuff from teambeefcake, check them out.
There's a couple options you can choose from.

hmdballa219 I will be over soon to pick up all of those ecoboost parts that you won't need any more since I am such a nice guy and all . Thanks and Best wishes with that GT you think you are stepping into soon ..

Also you owe me for all of the help we had to give you during your 1.5 year ordeal with your ecobeast .. but ya know 1 should admit to themselves some where along the journey that they really do not know or even have a clue what the fuck they are doing ..

Thanks, u can come buy whatever u want lol. I deff thanked you and have appreciated all the help.

If your being a dick, then I don't really feel like arguing with you behind a screen, I admit I didn't know shit about a 4 cylinder. Was my first and last time. Now I will stay in a GT. Never will get an ecoboost again.

Also, I wanted to supercharged mine, but I'm going to be smart this time around and wait for the 3 year warranty to go away. Not gonna rush and have major problems like I did on the Eco.

I never have seen anything about it, have heard about it tho. Went and did some research after u mentioned it, sounds like a good investment. Although through the research can't really find a rough price on it though. Since I won't be driving this much, only in the summer, and not to work since I work at a steel mill.

I Supercharged my 2006 Mustang GT with a Vortech at 8psi, it made 435hp to the wheels with nothing but the SC and a good tune and ran on avg 12.3@114 and a best of 12.0@115 for 3 years straight before I sold it.

I took that car to GLD in Wisconsin and Byron in Illinois so often I expected some kind of failure but never had one. I loved that car, now I have the '18 GT and it makes a tad less HP but feels faster over 50mph and has gone 12.1@119 which tells me the car is faster once I get tires on it.

Ford has come a long way, the interior quality is superior, the engine is amazing and the A10 is even more amazing. I can't wait to figure out which FI I'm going to go with.

Same here, plus its hard to find a company that doesn't charge up the rear for it. The dealer wanted $1,000 to do it, no friggin way I was having a car dealer apply the ceramic when they're barely capable of a good car wash.

1st world problems 'eh?

Damn nice! Not bad for just a SC and tune.

And ya I have it fully loaded premium package and the performance Package, but when I bought it I was driving everyday. This car will probably like 3k a year max. So I went base model, don't need all the extras.

Funny u say that, when I got my ecoboost, the dealer waxed and washed, and got wax all on the black plastic pieces, I was pissed.

$1000 got my entire Accord coated in Gtechniq 7 year ceramic coating which included all 4 wheels, the insides, and the calipers from a certified Ferrari professional detailer.

I'd say that was worth it. Dealership doing it? Hell no. I go off recommendations from other people and real, non fake reviews.

I wish he would have done my Mustang, but instead I had a different guy do both the PPF and the ceramic coating as well. I like the first guy's work better.

Agreed, a real shop with a reputation for excellent work, definitely worth it. The wash my car got for delivery was a joke, took them 2 hours!! It looked like they forgot to wipe it down, in the end I was happy, the less they touched it the better. What pissed me off was the 2 hour wait for the "awesome detail".
