lol. My car runs strong. I was just referring to the first part of the video where he says to not go full throttle. I have been driving "normal" with regular driving with some full throttle blasts. This car is too fun to not drive fast.
I couldn't agree more!

Too late for me.
Same here. Not even 700 miles on the Q and it had a tune and many hard pulls to 80, few launches and a few past 100. Just changed out the break-in oil this morning. If it was going to break it likely would have by now.

Hah! Ya got me. Glad to hear it. I mistook you for the guy with the engine sounds that needs a rebuild after only ~1500 miles.
I understand. Even with my 2016 V6, that 300hp was tempting, coming from a bone stock 2001 4-cyl Solara with 225K on the odo (which I still use for my beater so the 'Stang never sees even a drop of rain). But I never romped on it before 1500 miles. Even then, I only took it up to maybe 5000rpm. Hell, it has a total 2500 miles on it, and I still haven't run it to redline. But that has more to do with dealing with health issues than a desire to go hooning around. That's why, if I can ever sell it, whoever buys it is going to get basically a pre-broken in brand new car.

It has to do more with long term performance than blowing up in the short term. It works with everything from slot cars to race engines: the easier you break them in, the better the ultimate performance will be, and the longer you will hold on to performance (assuming you keep maintaining it properly). I've personally seen it work for 55 years (starting with slot cars ;)). It takes patience and restraint, but it's well worth it in the long run. I'm not trying to impugn anyone else's methods. I'm just letting you know what's worked over and over again for me - and it's backed up by the break-in methods of many manufacturers.

I've only have experience with 2 new cars before my '18 GTPP2. My Mach 1 I babied and it burned 1 quart of oil every 2,500 miles. Besides that the car was reliable and started up everytime for 14+ years but the fact it burned oil did bother me. The other car is my wife's 2016 JGC. I broke it in just like my '18 GTPP2. Rolling into Full throttle with engine braking. 3 oil changes at 12,600 miles and every time the 6 quarts I've put have came out.

I am antsy to do my first oil change in a few thousand miles to see if all 10 quarts come out. I was very relieved when once I knew the JGC didn't burn oil.
I understand what you are saying, but a sample size of 2 isn't really adequate to draw general conclusions. Sometimes things happen because of what you do, and sometimes things happen in spite of what you do. Between all manor of engines or motors I've actually owned, been involved with, or observed over 55 years, the total has to be at least scores, probably more like hundreds. Besides, numerous manufacturers agree with the mild break-in method. Again, I'm not trying to criticize anyone else's methods. Just trying to help by giving a view from someone that's had a lot of experience.
Best of luck with your car. I hope it gives you many years of reliable performance and fun (especially because I hope that one day I will own a GTPPL2).

That looks on point!

Anyone planning to do any IRS mods from Steeda/BMR?

Lol they are double charging for Magnaride. It’s already part of the PP2 package and they added it again at the bottom for another $1600.

I find it very difficult to trust a dealer that won't provide a link to a window sticker on their Web page for a car.
One way I've gotten around this is to use the inventory search function on ford.com. So I tried it by using the zip code listed on joemyersford.com, putting in some of the general specs from the PPL2 listed above, and trying to find a matching VIN. But it looks like Ford isn't so fond of Joe Myers Ford. The inventory search tool on Ford.com won't list any Mustangs from Joe Myers Ford no matter how general I make the search, even if I make the radius 40 miles. Weird.
