I can remember when the headline for Wheels magazine was "Shock - $30,000 Holden" - when a Brock Commodore got to that level. I couldn't believe that you could pay that much for a Holden. (and I ended up with a Brock Commodore - with Polariser )
Memories are short - are far as I am concerned I never made money out of cars anyway.
Really looking forward to the sound of that v8

wow, thats pretty decent.

Sorry but i asked you a question earlier you may have missed it.

When people say ORC what does that include? Rego and delivery charges?

So say the auto GT is 66k, your delivery charges are 2k, rego is roughly 1k.
So on the road it is 69k?
Am i correct in saying this?

Cheers, Mike.

Yes - there are a few other types of charges included in the On Road Costs but you are essentially right - it's the total amount you pay to the dealer before driving away (less your deposit/trade in if applicable).

You also have to figure in comprehensive insurance, which is not included in the ORC (and is not compulsory) - but you'd be crazy to leave the dealership without it. If you are financing the vehicle, the finance company will need to see that you have evidence of this before they hand you a cheque.

Thanks mate. Based on anchors original lrices for 2018
Auto gts. 69k isnt too bad for driveaway.

Give it 6 months to 1 year and we will be low 60’s easily! (Hopefully LOL)

So now, no member of the public in Australia knows what the wheel options are, or sure what is supplied ex- factory.
I think the wheel choices are the same as in the UK brochure. Anyhow I found out that my order has an ETA of 5th May so a bit earlier than expected.

An auto GT is going to run low/mid 70's including ORC - you haven't included stamp duty. Sorry, I thought your earlier figures were for the purpose of the exercise.

Thanks brah!
You are indeed correct i totally forgot about stamp duty!

Fark its getting harder to justify to get one pushing low 70s.
Might sit it out until they drop in price :(

Do you guys reckon they will drop in price like the 15-17s once the novelty wears off?

How did you find the ETA ?
It will be available from your dealer (on the Status Analysis Detail Screen in Vista).

My dealer used to email me screen captures throughout the process.

Yes exactly how Drew says. The dealer has an excel look spreadsheet with all of their orders and buyer notes. Mine had a note that it was a cancelled 2016/2017 order and it listed me as the 5th to order the MY18.
