So my first damage on my 2016 in magnetic was done at the dealership. Had my car in for air conditioning warranty work and got it back with a quarter inch chip over the lower passenger side rear quarter. They had touched it up and put clear over it and didnt say a word. I spotted it right away as it was way darker than the rest of the paint. They said they didnt know who did it but it appeared to be the factory touch up paint. Since they put the clear on it I cant really touch it up any more. Trying to make the metal flake "stand up" as if it was sprayed on with the touch up paint is next to impossible so it will still look dark if I use that method. I took it to two body shops who said the whole rear bumper would need to be resprayed to include the chip area. They told me I picked the most difficult color to try to blend in and that it would never match properly!! They quoted me around $2000 to do a respray so I took that info to the dealer who said they had a guy who would do it for $1200. I got them to give me the $1200 as a credit and left with my shitty touch up job.

That sucks - but on the bright side you got $1200 for a free set of tires if you can live with the crap touch up job.

Ironically I had told them to just put the $1200 towards a new set of tires which they then charged $3000 for balanced and mounted. Canadian price but still rather steep

WHAT?! You didn't pay that, of course, right?

The lowest price I could find on those tires in Canada was $2000 plus balance/mounting and 12% tax .
