£66.5K for the BMW though (with no options except reversing camera, lane assist and heated steering wheel).

My GT will be £44.5K with much the same stuff, and I hate BMW dealers, snobby overpriced Mini floggers.

You can get a number of less than a year old M4s for £49k (2017) with low mileage (one with 103 miles) from main dealers......... 2017 M4 or 2018 Mustang..... difficult choice.

2017 M2s again low mileage dealer cars £42K.........

M3/4 have lost their appeal , probably why deprecation is so steep. Apparently the sales of M2 are 40-50% more than expected by BMW. I'd take an M2 over an M3/4

Nope, until the bulk of MY2017 stock is shifted I doubt there will be. I've got my eye on a Lightning blue GT at my local dealer, hoping they can't shift it and end up discounting it "heavily". I'd take a £30K MY17 over a £45K MY18.

Whether they like it or not they are pitched in a different bracket. My GT Vert auto was £40,300 at 2015 prices. By 2017 it is just under £45k. MY18? Well no one seems to have a price for the vert but it will be £50k plus options for a GT Vert auto. I bought mine because it ticked so many lifetime boxes but that’s a limited market. They will be compared to Audi, BMW, Merc etc in the £50k+ bracket even though the opposition is still more expensive and the MY18 is better finished as it gets the premium leather we should have had. We could live with the foibles at the price we paid but exploding oil coolers wears a bit thin the more you pay.

I 100% agree, with you, Ford will need to up their game.
I think as the car was sold cheap here, the quality control was half assed. That will need to change.

No it’s a optional extra £350
