Dealership says they are trying to get the price on their internet postings corrected - person I spoke to said it's a +10k over MSRP asking price.

Also, said she had received "tons" of calls this morning on the car.

That's usually what happens when a post like this comes along. A million calls and the price goes up due to renewed interest. Yes, it might have been an error to begin with, but when the phone starts ringing off the hook, the price always goes up.

Gotta admit - I had credit card in hand when I called and if they'd have sold it for the advertised price, I was a buyer.

Still holding out for a fair deal on an Orange Fury '18 R, though.
Had the transaction gone through for you it would have been the best buy of any R model period.

This car has been for sale at $10,000 over since the car arrived at the dealership but unfortunately that information never made it to the internet manager.

It's obvious that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing!!!:headbonk::headbonk:

I would suggest that the GM will come off of the $10K ADM but how much is very difficult to say??:shrug:

Yea this happened to me on my regular GT350. Website showed MSRP, sales kid agreed to MSRP. About 15 minutes into the paperwork the general manager stopped by to notify me they wanted 73k!

I think I'm done buying cars for a while. Something tells me that the GT500 is going to have huge initial ADM's and HR361 will be my driver until things settle down to MSRP. I believe the previous run of 500's went that way and the difference might be greater availability if ford cranks them out like last time. If they limit production, I feel my plan might backfire.

So in a nutshell, there will be no third 350.

I tend to believe these dealers are doing this on purpose. I've called a handful of times for an R that was listed at a little over MSRP and they all say there was an error in the advertising, and that they use a 3rd party. Well, 1 month later and the "error" hasn't been fixed. There is a thing called bait and switch. If you drive down to a dealership with the current advertisement in hand, they are supposed to honor it. When they don't honor it, that's when you have the option of pushing back. Most will just say, oh ok, and go back home and continue their search.
Unfortunately there's not much we can do about it anyway.

Oh sure, there are laws against this sort of practice, but in most states the practice is so rampant that regulators cannot begin to enforce the laws on the books.
