Just because my curiosity got the best of me and it only cost $200 in parts and about 5 hours of my time! This would be an even sweeter setup if one can source the stock GT system for either less or free.

Revision 2 is in, this time with a full 3" downpipe to a Y-adapter - Pictures 3-5

Very nice! I actually got mine on the other night too and I really like it so far. I have a catless downpipe to a resonator and then out to the GT mufflers. It's a project that I've tinkered with off and on for a while and finally decided to go ahead and finish it when I was building an exhaust for my friend's V.

The video does show - did this just bolt right up?

Right on! Did you use the complete GT 2.5" piping, too?

It should line up to the stock EB downpipe, yes. I can't confirm 100%, however, as I have a custom 2.5" flanged outlet on mine. I believe that one could also bolt on the complete GT catback with the stock GT resonator up to the stock EB downpipe, but the two inlet pipes would need to be jointed with a crosspipe and capped off on the right inlet, because the inlets of the resonator are in semi-independent of each other. Something like a mini H-pipe at the inlet pipes.

Yep, sure did. I cut the GT cat-back right behind the factory resonator and used a Y-pipe to join it to my existing 3" piping from the downpipe and Vibrant resonator.

Any images of the system?

Doesn't the GT mufflers have backpressure? Don't we need free flow ?

They flow well for a factory muffler and are leagues better than the factory EBM stuff. I won't be leaving mine on super long anyways, but they'd be a great cheap upgrade for cars with milder setups that aren't gonna go wild.

They do, but they flow enough to support 435hp of the V8. Keep in mind that there are two of them and both are 2.5" vs the 2.25" of the EB.
