Hey folks.

Just installed an OEM GT350 CAI today. In combo with a Lund tune. Looks great, drives great, tune has been verified by LUND as running well.

Just one Q.

I have a 2016 car with 3x PCV return lines (2 upper, 1 lower). On the CAI there are only 2 return ports (both upper), thus ive currently got the lower one doing nothing.

Whats the solution? OK to just blank it off, or do I need to 'tap' in to the CAI tubing and connect this 3rd line?

Thanks :)

It looks like it goes to your sound tube.

nope its a small crank case oil line on the bottom (not visible in this photo).

17+ cars use a 2 line system I believe, with 16- being on a 3 line system.

Mustang GTs build after 8/25/16 have a different vacuum arrangement on the intake manifold. Just cap off the port on the intake tube.

Im not understanding. There's only two PCV hoses even on the my 2015.
How it work:
http://www.agcoauto.com/content/images/engine/pcv_system_extracting_moisture.jpg

The IMRC vacuum changes as they switch from three port to two port and no longer connect the diaphragms to the intake tube.(driver side orange line) Your lines seems to be hooked up. Red- PVC Orange - brake booster/IMRC Green- Evap.

The only thing you don't have hooked up is your sound tube. Where exactly is this third PCV line?

There's a 3rd line that connects in the bottom of the main CAI tube, right in the elbow.

I called it a PCV, but it turns out it's a IMRC vacuum line.

Consensus seems to be cap it off, not important.....?

My problem is the other way around.

3 lines on the car, 2 ports on the CAI.

Currently got the lower (smallest) line unconnected.

If you have that line connect it in with a hole, groumet, and fitting between MAF and TB, venting it would cause a small transient condition vacuum leak. caping it off from the IMRC may cause a vacuum build up and eventually not allow the IMRC to open.

If you do not, cap off the intake hole.

Other option is to buy the newer two port solenoids.

OK thanks, looks like I will need to connect the line in with a hole to the CAI. Time for DIY.

Are all GT350 CAI intakes set up with only 2 ports?
Did the early 2016 GT350 CAI have 3 ports?

Im guessing MY16- versions were probably 3 line / port. However I dont have one of those, so nothing for me to worry about. LOL.

I got a reply from LUND after asking them the same question. Not connecting the line will result in the IMRC not being held open at WOT. So not good.

They also suggested T-fitting in to another line.

Can anyone advise which line, is it the other small one that runs from the top of the CAI tubing?

Thanks to those who contributed.

The correct answer in the end was to indeed splice the 2nd IMRC line to the 1st with a Tee joint.

You need a 3/8 or 10mm internal size Tee.

5mins work once you have it figured out, and its also shown in this LMR stageII PP install video:
