Guy I got my Mishimoto tube from did back-to-backs with Airaid full CAI and this with stock box and K&N filter. Picked up max of 30 whp with the Mishi tube and stock box over the Airaid, and I recall about 15 at peak power. [MENTION=31127]ALUSA[/MENTION] you have the dyno sheets?

Not on me right now. I did get a print back in the day. Yes this system with K&N filter actually put down better numbers than a full Airaid No Tune Intake System. BMR if i remember right with their shop car ran 11.88 seconds with Mishi and K&N combo with just a tune. That says a lot!

Airaid full intake with E85 my results were peak 395 whp 365 lbft. Mishi Tube with K&N drop in same tune 93 octane was 404 whp 375 lbft. This is on a really low reading local dyno. Car was both commending 30 degrees of max timing around 6500 rpm! The main loss was down low below 4500 rpm with the Airaid intake.

excuse my ignorance, but how does a simple tube swap produce that much extra power on a stock tune?

Same question with a CAI? Can it really be pushing that much extra air into the engine?

edit: a few extra HP/torque is expected, but over 6 seems strange to me.
It is not a significant flow advantage but enough lean out to give you that extra power. Typically these cars run strong on .84 and .85 lambda value on wot. You don't want to be below or above those values on wot with 93 octane. What these tubes and filters do is that they reduce the total pressure drop in the controlled environment. The air on an NA engine flows due to Vacuum, meaning from outside to inside the manifold. High pressure to low pressure flow. Having low friction losses during the process helps with the available pressure at the entrance of the intake manifold. In this case its the cold air intake or the other type combinations. What Lund told me was they get better results with a certain air velocity through the stock manifold. I didn't ask the exact velocity but i do trust them!

Mishimoto themselves showed 15 hp & tq on that thread link. Still a nice gain mind you.

With aem dryflow panel filter my throttle response was sharpened and the exhaust sounded sharper. 500ish miles later i installed this tube and the change was apparent. Engine sounded throatier and it suprised me in acceleration.
Just my .02

My advice to the new buyers, dont forget to disconnect the negative battery terminal prior to the installation, same with the maf sensor connection. This will reset the car to learning mode with the new tube and drop in filter. You also have to drive the car for about 50 miles to actually see the results.

I understand and agree with you. I will be doing the Ford Power Pack 1 and going back to the dyno again. I know that will be a dyno with the PP1 already installed as I want to put miles on it before I dyno. There is a local guy doing the Airaid tube, I might try and get him to throw my Mishi on to see if he gets different results.
Let me know how this goes! I was thinking about doing the same exact thing since I saw your post on the FB page. The dealers around here are tripping on the install prices though, got quoted 1.2 hours labor for a drop in filter and uploading a tune :l

Found that American Muscle had a good price but wouldn't ship to Canada. Steeda was way more pricey than American Muscle strangely enough.

Looking forward to the tube but honestly the power is brutal with this car. Can't imagine what another 15+ HP and torque would affect it.

Curious how drivability will be affected - for the better I hope

You need a tune. The amount that wakes it up is amazing. Tune plus tube is fantastic.

FWIW, the car seemed to have better overall drivability and pulls smoother at part throttle vs. the stock tube.
