I like the hood graphic on your Raptor. Where did you get that if you don't mind sharing. My Shadow Black Raptor needs a little somethin.'

I had a local guy here In SC wrap it that way. The top is about to get wrapped the same color without red pinstriping.

The transporter dropped it off on Memorial Day. Having a great time breaking it in and learning about it.

No powder coating, painted them myself. Dust will not really change anything, I was cleaning the wheels every other day anyway. Felt like the light rims would really play well against the dark color. Very happy with the results. More paintwork to come, mirrors and spoiler in body color.

The silver looks great. What did you use for center caps?

Part number, please. ;)

You did a fantastic job. They look really good! Do you mind posting some close up pictures?
I'm really interested in doing something similar on my shadow black (I hate the black wheels).
Lastly, do you mind posting the steps involved and materials?

Thanks!

Firstly, thank you very much! Part of the decision is that I similarly do not like all black wheels. I'm actually not happy with the results as far as the paint goes. I chose to use a Rustoleum formulated specifically for wheels but for some reason it did not cover well. This is not the first time I've painted wheels by a long shot either. I will choose another silver and go over them again. It's a very time consuming job with these wheels only because I chose to leave the barrels Black since they get darkened from dirt and brake dust anyway and the design of the rims lends itself greatly to this with a subtle lip just behind the spokes around the circumference of the rim. Took a while to mask the tire to rim lip also. The brake dust is terrible but it required cleaning them in black frequently anyway but I really like how the light rims contrast against the dark paint. If you do it it will look terrific. After I redo them I'll post closeups.

Tell me about it. I have to clean my wheels twice a week due to the brake dust. As I stated before, I was never one to like black wheels especially on a dark color car. That was my only gripe when I purchased my shadow black. I'm definitely going to try and either paint or powder coat them silver.

Thanks for the info and I really want to see some close up pictures once you respray them.

Nice contrast with those wheels. Enjoy it!
