Fellas -

Here are a few pics. Car went from a Ruby Red - over to a Matte Green with a Gloss laminate.

This didn't take very well and I'll be having it re-wrapped in a couple of weeks but thought I'd send out a couple of pics before it changes.

I'll take a few more in a week or so as I have some new BC Forged Wheels on for Daily Driving in the Crystal Coffee colour.

what's a '1966 couple' (in your sidebar description)? I suspect you mean 'coupe'

I love the idea that you'd try to wrap the car with something unique but agree with you (at least, based on the one picture provided) that it didn't turn out that great.

Is that a factory spec rear tire? ..looks like it would rub the quarter.

It's so hard to pick a favorite color, as they all look good, but I think mine is Ruby.

Funny as HELL...
I have the Ruby, and I've been throwing around that exact green as the wrap I'd do.

It looks good. Bad quality wrap?

Yup - '66 couple. Good eye. Getting that back next weekend so I'll post some photos. It is going to need some wheels but should be put complete otherwise.

The green looks a lot better in person. Received a lot of compliments and since I track it I really wanted to wrap it.

What went wrong was, the colour only comes in a 'matte' finish. What we did was run a clear laminate over the matte laminate (via some machine) then you wrap the car after in the 'gloss matte green'.

Problem is two fold.

1. Way too thick.
2. The clear laminate doesn't react the same way to the elements and is pulling back the green in certain spots.

Solution: re-wrapping the car in a different colour. I'd like the Ruby to stay pristine if possible.

Yes, that is a factory rear tire on the back. Those were still the original cup2s (315).

Currently though on both sets of wheels I am running 325s (cup2s and pilot super sports).

I'll get a Journal going or something. Car has some good changes coming up/

Car looks beautiful. And if it was just the 'matte green' it wouldn't have had an issue.

Mind posting some close ups of the grill openings and generally all of the tricky areas? I'm curious if they used overlays on the front and where.

Thanks!

I so wish Mustangs came in green. Wrap is a great idea for trying out your wishes.
