My A/C on my 15 went out at 15k covered under warranty, but had to drive a ford focus for 2 days!

Didn't even know there were issues. I'll be looking out for mine I guess.
Ha...

OH hell yea there's issues... Lots.

A/C compressor failures
Multiple Evap core failure across all S550's
HVAC blend door failures
HVAC fan motor issues

And whatever other related concerns that have been documented on this site...

If you haven't wiggled out of this sub-forum (or other fav sub-forums on here), be sure to hit the TSB/Issues/Repairs sub-forum on here... There's quite a few posts regarding the EVAP core failures as well as the others mentioned above. Some folks have had the EVAP core replaced only to have it fail again later... Not sure if they were just unlucky, or Ford's supply chain sucks with cheapo products.

Here's one of the larger threads regarding the EVAP core issues:

From link's info it might seem they fixed it for 2017. But maybe they haven't included 2017 yet

http://www.cjponyparts.com/resources/2015-2017-mustang-recall-and-tsb-info

EQUIPMENT:AIR CONDITIONER

Year: 2015-2016 Mustang

TSB #: SSM-45815

NHTSA ID #: 10078988

Date Announced: MAY 11 2016

Summary: AIR CONDITIONING (A/C) INOPERATIVE - DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) P0645

=====

P.s. Another reason for me to get 2017... Lots of issues might be coming first couple of years with 2018 if you check all issues in the link above.

Negatory on the fixing in 2017.

Literally just got out of my car in 27Deg weather. (81 for you Yanks out there) and it felt like it wasn't even on. Barely working!

Car has 3200 miles on it!

Cylinder head temp was 91Deg (196 for you Yanks out there)

Guess i'll be visiting my Ford dealer :(

Car was built early Sept 2016. My dads 2003 Winter beater Ford Taurus with 120k miles blows colder than this.

My AC went out on my 2003 right after my warranty ran out and it burns oil like crazy a quart every 2,000 miles. When all these people say their car doesn't burn a drop of oil I want to know how they broke in their engine.
Some WOT runs during break-in period don't baby it to let piston rings seat properly. several threads on this. My car burns zero oil.

You have a Mach 1 which is a later year Cobra engine. I believe those pistons are forged? Can't remember but that is one sweet car! Always wanted one. Definitely babying the car too much might of caused this.

I did what the owners manual said. For the first 1000miles babied the rpms and varied my speed at everytime didnt past the 4000rpms.

AC Compressor went out on mine at 20K.

The ac doesn't even see that much use anyway. I usually drive around with the windows down unless I'm on the highway.

I drove a Taurus for a week. Boring car with no balls. I was so happy to get my car back.

Boy - it's a shame that Ford seems to have so much trouble with the A/C unit. In 2017, that's inexcusable. Really - my wife's 2007 GC SRT8 blows cold like crazy for over 120K miles. My E85 burning LSX454 Vette blows cold for days.

Why can't Ford figure this out?

For anyone who has had their evap replaced, did the techs introduce any problems to your interior such as rattles, scratches, or uneven fitment? Or was the repair seamless as if nothing ever happened.

This is the only thing that bothers me about getting my evap replaced. I hate knowing the idea that the whole dash gets torn out during the repairs. Almost 9k but I don't use the AC as much.

Bmw has similar issue with leaky evap . I think they also have some japan ac. Someone at bmw forums expressed opinion with somecreasons that evap would last longer if always used.

Not sure whether that's true or some urban legend, but I remembered that. 'Cause I also barely used mine and it went bad.
