Yes but their also 16k so a budgetwise investment is always good to look into.

CF Wheels are 18 lbs

Forgeline wheels are 21.3 lbs yes their 3.3 lbs more but also wheels that have been utilized for track usage thus showing their strength and quality as well.
Exactly. Yes OZ is used in F1. Great, cool, whatever. An application of motoring that isn't even remotely close to what we normal human beings can comprehend. IMSA...now that's a series most of us can at least somewhat grasp in terms of acceleration and G forces. And if you take a look at just about every team out there and check their supplier decals, take one guess at who's boss.

For the record, Forgeline GA1R's and GS1R's are rated for 2000lbs and 2100lbs load rating respectively.

Actually, not bad looking in my opinion. Noticed there's a dealer nearby.

Not top priority, but will swing by and check out weight with offset + price when I get a chance.
lemers with 19% off, they may be a worthwhile option.

Who said anything temotely close to that! If I would have trully thought like that I would have gotten myself a cardboard rim and use that! Ffs!

But to trully answer your question yes I think lighter is better all other things bein equal or better still. for example CF RIMS are lighter and stronger than alloys so that is a win win.
My point is you said these wheels are the lightest in the gt350 sizes. My point is they may be light but they are not both light and strong. Forgeline, CCW and others can also make a lighter wheel, but for a wheel you also need strength.
What are the load ratings for the wheels you posted?

Those that have gone to a lighter rim on non-R cars, do you notice a difference in turn in and handling?

Absolutely!
I have FORGELINE GA1R open lug 11x19 and run 305/30zr19 pilot sport cup 2. Huge weight loss and handling improvement.

The mob descended and slapped OP into line then hijacked his thread. Nice.

I guess claiming you found the magical unicorn lightest something will provoke the mob but still. Do we all have to buy the same thing and attack people who want something different. I don't care about OZ or any other band for that matter but they're not some cheap knockoffs.

Obey.

A friend of mine just got a set of Superforgiata for is TurboS. Really nice wheel, no compromise on quality and strenght (he's tracking the car). But price is up there.

I got a set of Forgeline GS1R with SC2 from PK... 3 pounds off the CF wheels, and you can choose finish/offset to suit your needs.

If budget is not a concern and OZ can make a fit for the GT350 you will be a happy camper for sure.

The point is they are not the lightest when you consider them the correct size. Sure even forgeline could say theirs are lighter as a 11x19 until you factor in the correct offsets.
Besides tire weight has to be factored in also. I have 11x19 forgeline GA1R open lugs with 305/30 sport cup 2 and they weigh 46 pounds each rear and 47.5 pounds each for the front. Difference is from the offset.

...So you think lighter is better? So strength means nothing to you? I'd love to see these on a track car!
Good luck with that. Buy forgelines...

Offset is a valid point but that was never your point. Another valid point is brake clearance.

I'm only defending OZ to bring freshness and constructive brainstorming to the table. And because I think individuals should be able to bring ideas to the table.

OZ and many manufacturers use unique forging for different offsets. This reduces or eliminates the huge wheel spacer-like chunk of metal near the lug nut area. I'm not criticizing companies that have the big slab of metal. Just pointing out the facts. That style has less of a weight shift due to offset. The difference in offset is made up by the spoke shape, not the hub. The drawback is extra cost to manufacture.

I know you're going to say but but forgeline. Great, I'm sure, correction I know, they're a great product. We can talk about OZ and that doesn't take anything away from Forgeline or any other company.

Different maker. Same idea. Better pic.

But I'm sure before buying someone will find the actual weight and check if they clear the brakes.

Yes it was my point and I clearly mentioned it.
Honestly he said (OP) the oz wheels are the lightest and I'm saying without factoring in the oz wheel offsets to fit the gt350 the weight of the oz wheel will increase. So yes that is my point.
Am I saying that forgeline is the lightest? No! But I'm also not the one saying oz is the lightest. Forgeline also has I beam spokes, machined lug hub area and rim lips are scallops. Any brand can make a lighter wheel. It it also come down to strength. I already know that the GA1R and GS1R fit the gt350 and we already know the weight of them compare to the oz.
