Has anyone that was on the Tijuca picked up their car yet?
No, Dealer (yesterday - Monday) says its due in week ending 22/04, this is the date he's been giving me since it left Baltimore on the Tijuca.
I sent a "...where is my car really please..." email to Karen/Stacey yesterday, awaiting a response.
I too am trying to sort out Detailing immediately after delivery, it's booked in with the Detailers but without a date which is helpful to nobody

I'm glad I'm not the only one still waiting :-) some of the cars from that ship (25th arrival in Zeebruge) made it to the UK within a week (if you believe what you read on here and on other forums).
The communications with customers is poor, thankfully Steve produced this guide to give us all a clue. I never had to chase Merc, BMW or Audi when ordering vehicles with long lead times.... They kept me in the loop on a regular basis without prompting. Having to chase for vaigue answers/ promises takes the excitement out of the 'ordering a new Mustang' experience. Given what I know now i wouldn't have ordered one at build, I would have waited for a cancelled order (of which there are now many) that was physically at a dealship.... or ordered a M4.

your not alone my friend, its exactly the same for us in New Zealand. Ford know exactly where each order is and there is no excuse for either not keeping buyers up to date or giving some kind of access to a detailed order tracking web site. all of that said I am still ok with waiting for my order, I have been through this with ford before and knew it would be painful. its such a shame really. I have explained to my local ford dealer that they have a good product but once your signed up its a case of being served a platter of "shit sandwich" service. i have told my dealer I want my car as it came off the transporter, I dont want the people who work in the dealership near the car, once I pick it up that will be the last time they get to see the car and I dont take my fords into be dealer serviced, I buy genuine parts and do my own servicing and dont worry about the warranty.

right now I am in limbo waiting for the car to pop up on the shipping site...:frusty:

To be fair that's why you buy a Ford as opposed to an Audi or Merc as you like to be challenged! If everything is too clinical, makes it boring.

I kind of see your point... but there is no excuse for poor communication or false promises. Moving a vehicle from A to B then on to C doesn't have to be so painful and unprofessional in comparison to other vehicle manufactures.

Yes, maybe somewhere between the two is optimum :)

I've just noticed the Etis report for my GT states "Performance Front fenders"? Any ideas?

The fact i have a list as long as your arm on Etis indicates it's settled yeah?

LOng list just means it's been signed off as built. The uprating is the settling bit, some don't even settle until they're sat on a boat lol!

Performance front fenders just means they've got a few extra screws under the bottom to fit the performance belly pans, different fitment on the bumper etc etc. No different to what else we have already.

The ETIS list is definitely long!!
I found the last things to appear on it were the coils that Manders mentions in his original post starting this thread off.
They didn't appear til the car was on a boat to Zebrugge!

I'd keep quiet about your go-faster bumper!
Seriously, no idea what that is!

The last few weeks are the worst! I'm getting impatient for mine now, going to the dealership today to see if it's sat there yet!

YEEESSSSSSSSSS!!!
Just spoke to the dealership and my car has been delivered to them! :)
I'm going in this afternoon to see it. So excited!!

Is there anything I should be looking for now fresh off the transporter as opposed to at pickup??
Panel fit and stuff I guess. What else?

If you don't want your bumpers drilled, remove the plate holders and take them with you

Good shout - I have it in email that they won't drill the bumpers but never hurts to take them :)

There have been LOTS of story's of emails, letters and any other type of communication just ignored. Even wrote up something and put it in the windscreen for a drill not to go anywhere near this car. Sounds stupid but you can't be too careful
