So a few of us decided to have a little day out today :D

We met at Lanark Loch @ 1330ish then drove down to Biggar, beautiful little market town, we were going to do, what I call, Scotland's answer to the Evo Triangle in north Wales.

Bigger - Moffat, past the Devils Beeftub - Selkirk, quick stop at the Grey Mares Tail, the highest waterfall in Scotland I believe, quick coffee further down the road just outside Selkirk, The Waterwheel Cafe.

Here we had coffee and cake and discussed the route for the next McMustang meet, the cafe owners even allowed us to pour over the map while they were closed and clearing up.

Then it was back into the car park for some tyre kicking and exhaust sounding off, 5 Mustangs, 5 different exhausts:

Me - FRPP By Borla Touring
Sudaf - FRPP (?) Borla S
CapitanPug - Miltec
nixopaxo - Dreamscience
KevD - Stock

All this exhaust tomfoolery was to help KevD decide where he wanted to go on his exhaust pilgrimage, but I think it was just confusing, especially when the talk turned to resonated, non resonated, Xpipe's, H pipes etc :D

So then it was off to Peebles and then home :headbang:

An absolutely fantastic triangle of tarmac, made all the better by none of the others having done it before

I've got no photos, our photographer for the day, Sudaf, may add some to this thread, but I don't think he took that many either.

Thanks to the above peeps for making it a successful day out and special thanks to Ford for providing a suitable stable of Ponies :ford:

Anyway, that's what we did today, a lovely sedate drive in the beautiful Scottish countryside :first:

Well id just like to say, what a cracking wee day out me and my mrs had! 1st chance ive really had to give the car a proper blast and boy can she shift :D Drove through some beautiful scenery(bit of a blur)and met up with some fellow mustang enthusiasts who were all top blokes. Talked at length about mods and stuff and admired each others cars in the sunshine and mentally added more stuff to my ever growing wishlist. Big thanks to George for organising and for the invite and to the other boys for taking it easy on the newbie

As for the "sedate drive" comment , im fecking knackered

Hi Henry this is the stuff i use on my speedboats canopy cover . It came highly recommended by the boatyard . Applied it last year and you could watch the water just falling off in droplets. It does say on side of tin suitable for car soft tops ! cheers for a great day :headbang:

What a bitch to get the right height and spacing. Ended up using a ruler and cardboard cut-out for the spacing. It's a little wonky but only noticeable on close-up inspection.

does it sound like wheezy bag pipes? does it sound like mel gibsons brave heart speech when you start it up ? does it sound like "referendum referendum referendum" when you rev it ? :)
