Me too.Looks good! Would love to see a black one in good lighting.
Red is a PP but unknown which because we don't know whats on PP1/PP2 yet.I am assuming the red mustang is the PP2 and the white one is PP1?
LOL all manufacturers round up or down. The C6 Z06 had a 428, but everyone was OK woth calling the LS7 a 427 when it is not. I agree with the old 302 should have been a 4.9. But these modern 5.0's are fine and have zero to worry about due to simple mathematics.I'm trying to find the information about the displacement change.
I've seen rumors a few places about a slight increase to displacement to basically 5.0L or 5,000 cc exactly.

I've heard this is due to the Mustang going global and in some countries their advertising laws are VERY strict. ie: if you advertise the engine as 5.0L it better be 4.99-5.01 L's, or face possible law suits for almost 1% smaller engine than advertised.
The 4.942 as in the early 90's or 4.952 as in the current form could leave them exposed to possible frivolous litigation / class actions (in other countries).
Good point. Have we seen a Magnetic '18 yet other than this doctored image?I need to see a non-CGI version of Magnetic. This is still one of my favourite images, and the one that made me fall in love with the '18

Thanks for providing a little insight to where you're coming from. Sometimes it's the longer-running topics like this that force me to figure out why I hold the opinions that I do, that simply having some opinion isn't enough. Thanks to you (intended as a compliment) this has become another one of those threads . . .I'm just celebrating the fact that they kept the old school muscle inspired tall hood in the '15 - '17. Ford took a shot at blending some old school with the new school direction the car went with the S550. The '18's design tells me that they are thinking of departing from the traditional styling even more as time moves on. When I sit in an '18 I'll decide if I like the lower hood or not. No question, it will make a better road course car with improved visibility. If I start tracking my '15, I'll probably hop on the hood too tall bandwagon too! For my street use, doesn't bother me. I have also daily driven trucks for the 15 plus years I've been driving so the forward visibility on this car is night and day difference from what I'm used to.
I'm not too far from the original Cheers, I'd be happy to talk car history/evolution at your long standing watering hole any day! Or we can keep up the back on forth up on here until Ford gives us something better to talk about. Come on '18 performance numbers!
Well, the Mustang survived the debacle of the 73-78 Mustang II. If it can survive that it can survive (almost) anything. I have no problem with the evolution and wouldn't mind a shorter/lower hood at all, and would welcome shorter overhangs. Push those wheels all the way out to the corners. Yes, that's more "European" but also a case of form following function.Styling has to evolve. else it can be seen as 'dated' or 'stale'. With its 50+ year continuous production run at stake I hope the Mustang's design team doesn't make too much change too quickly. Nobody should want to be known as belonging to the crew that resulted in the Mustang's demise.
