Car can take around 4-6 weeks before it's on a ship
You're joking! Why does it take so long, do they have to build the ship first?!!!

Like sjr311083 I'm kind of in that unknown phase of car having been built but no ship assigned. Apart from asking Ford (which awaiting a response on) doesn't seem to show where it's at on ETIS or COTUS.

Really want the car now! :)

It's guess work to know when it's In the docking yard unless you Talk to FordService or [email protected] .

It takes so long to book it on a ship because there's a backlog of cars (not just Mustangs) waiting to go on those ships. Mustangs get an allocation of like 200 per ship (if that), and not all of them are UK bound.

It takes a week or two after being built having stuff changed for the uk market, then its got to be booked on a train, then it sits in the docks for a few weeks admiring the view  then it gets booked on a ship

To quote myself from OP.

1 Week after your window sticker goes live
Your car should be built, as per the blend date on your window sticker

1-2 days after your blend date
Etis should update, it’ll now show information in a low level about the car, what specific things have been added, removed, etc.

1-2 days after
Your car should now be gate released and on it’s way to the upfitters

1 week later
Your car should now have gone to the upfitters, and ETIS should have updated, ETIS will now be ‘settled’ and there will be no new updates to ETIS unless an outstanding field action occurs. You will know that this has occurred, and ETIS will have settled as the following will have occurred:
1. Within Primary Features your ‘Interior Colour and Interior Fabric’ will show up
2. Within Minor Features the following will appear – these are from the upfitters:
FR3C 5310 A* Left/Front Coil
FR3C 5310 A* Right/Front Coil
FR3C-5560-H* Left Rear Coil
FR3C-5560-H* Right Rear Coil

You can contact FordService on the forums for information about your car up until the car reaches the Baltimore Docks where it comes under the control of Ford Europe ([email protected] for information again at this point)

1-2 weeks later
Your car should now have left the Flat Rock plant, and be poised and waiting in the Baltimore Docks for a boat!

2-3 weeks later
Your car should be assigned a ship. Woo! This will also contain the estimated arrival and departure dates of the ship, it’ll be going from Baltimore to Zebrugge, however some boats do stop off on the way, the boats are not exclusively Mustang carriers, they take multiple cars of multiple different brands, makes, sizes etc. You can track your car on it's voyage by entering the VIN into the Cargo ID field here:
https://www.2wglobal.com/webapps?fra...uickSearchPage

1 week later
Your car will be on the ship, and begin it’s voyage, congratulations, your car is now probably doing more miles sailing than you have in your life! This is a 10-16 day sail on average

1-3weeks later
Your car will arrive in Zeebrugge, be taken off the boat and be ready to move through the process.

How about if I don't want everything changed like the red to white tail lights and US deck lid to UK faux gas cap? Does it get here quicker?! ;)

First off - thanks to Manders Mustang for pulling together this awesome guide!

My GT is showing as built on 9 Feb, and have been told it is waiting at the docks to be allocated a ship (although the dealer said it was in Florida, and I am only seeing Baltimore on the forum so that's odd if true!).

Looking at my ETIS, I am not seeing the items about the shocks there - the only mention of shocks is "With Standard Rear Shock Absorbers".
Should I be concerned? I am guessing not as they are well used to building cars for the UK now! :)

Don't believe your dealer on anything.

It's the springs they change at the up fitters so you might see something like:
FR3C 5310 E* Left/Front Coil
FR3C 5310 E* Right/Front Coil
FR3C-5560-C* Left Rear Coil
FR3C-5560-C* Right Rear Coil
Although they might have found a way of fitting them on the line by now.

Haha! A fair point about the dealers - after the last dealer ordered mine in the wrong colour and options and then went into administration (don't think these things were directly related! :) ) I take them with a pinch of salt :amen:

On the coils, not seeing that either on ETIS, the only thing showing with 'coil' in it is "Standard Duty Front Coil Spring"
So no idea if I am missing out!

My Etis had "Extra Heavy Duty Front Coil Spring" as the only other coil reference so they've probably changed the system. It was a bit daft having to upfit thousands of cars coming off the line.

Don't worry. Just be excited :clap2:

I'm not overly concerned, if there's anything amiss then Ford can fix it :)
Can't wait - I first ordered a Mustang 14 months ago - one rejected car in wrong colour and options later I can't wait for my actual car to arrive!!

Mine was built on the 09 Feb, there isn't any mention of the 4 left/right coils.

The last thing on the build details are Mustang, then GT at the bottom.

Perhaps things have changed a bit.

I'm assuming/hoping mine is waiting for a ship.
