Car isn't hooking up....

Hey guys was wondering if anyone could be of assistance....
I have a 2016 GT performance package with a Roush stage 1 super charger, kooks headers, and a borla atak exhaust it's a manual car and it can not stay hooked up at all through 2nd and third I know I need to get wider tires and maybe better ones but I was curious if that is going to fix my problem or do I need to do suspension work also? Suggestions on tires and suspension components would be greatly appreciated

These cars need a lot of rear suspension, look in to Steeda's "stop the hop" components. Otherwise I'm sure some one else is going to remark how much HP you're trying to get to the ground with 3:73 gear which is usually not advisable.

Are you getting hop or tire spin or both?

Too much torque now from the S/C means you need a wider and stickier tire patch. If you're still on the Pirelli P-Zero's in cool NJ weather then forget it. I get tire spin and I'm not boosted.

i think biggest question will be what tires are you on?

As bad as those Pirelli P-Zeros are, you may not even feel the hop until they warm up. I couldn't pull away from a stop light with my P-Zeros on my EB PP let alone a GT w/SC. Once you're able to get some traction, tire hop will become an issue loading and unloading the suspension. Half-shafts and Steeda Stop the hop package will do wonders. Of course you will still need the wider and better tires.

What I've seen folks do is to gear swap to 3.31, then suspension mods like CB005, springs, dampers, diff bushing, LCA and then tires.

I'm on the p zeros still what kind of tire do you guys recommend it's not my everyday car so I'm considering drag radials maybe nitto nt05

i have all this and 305/35/19 mickey thompson et street ss..
hooks 95% of the time down to about 50 degrees..
No "street" tire(non R compound) is going to do what you want trust me i've done the research

yeah people will say nt05 and nt05r but if you get down to it they arent making the same power...

I have never owned anything with more than 400hp and 400tq. My last car was a 232hp and 180tq. Gotta say, these skinny 255 tires are not enough. I need to upgrade to 305.

I have the same setup as you.I installed the steeda stop the hop kit,and some nitto 305/35/20 555r's and now we have traction.1st gear will still spin,but second gear from about a 20 mph roll she bites good.No hop,,no spin.Mt tires will hook even better,but they only last about 3000 miles.I am not changing tires and oil at the same time,no sir.
