A thought occurs with regard to the digital gauges. BMW has been doing a thing on M cars for the last several years where the tach will show a different, lower redline if the engine is cold. Is it possible that's what's going on here?
Can't be that hard to do.
My Mazda RX-8 had that even with a regular analog gauge. It actually work with ECU and change the limiter too.

So do the M cars. I think it was introduced on the either E39 M5 or the E46, and both cars had analog-style gauges.

I've seen this highlighted in a several places. Being able to get the Performance Package on a GT convertible is not new-for-2018. You can get it on a 2017 (and a 2016 if memory serves me) GT convertible.

What new-for-2018 is being able to get it on a GT with an automatic.
You are correct! The PP was introduced on manual convertibles for MY16 (substantiated by the car sitting in my garage :D)

I think he may have just been being thorough, like coupe or convertible / manual or auto, any combo.

Side note: I wonder if the PP auto will get any changes to gearing, or likely just have a little different calibration (in a PP car)

Clearly looks are subjective as you think stance-nation is "not ugly"
better than 4x4 look. but as in not ugly I mean the front end by adding a splitter and black out the pony

The darker colors makes the car look very good on my opinion can't wait to see the car in person

Or it could be that we're seeing images of both automatic and manual cars, which have different redlines.
Doubt it. Why would the same motor have a different redline for different transmissions?

It's either a driver mode thing, a performance pack option that raises it, or a warm engine has the higher redline.

Looks better than it did in the video yesterday. I still think that the headlights are poorly executed. Do not like how they slope downwards on the fenders and just do not like the reflector in the location that it is. Definitely will test drive one to see how it feels! :)

Just checked Ford's site and noticed they will be offering a Forged Aluminum wheel as an option. Is this a 1st for Ford? Sorry if this has already been brought up. To many pages to read through.

I wouldn't be surprised if the axle ratio is different (as an example, C7 Z51 and Grand Sport Corvettes get a 2.73 axle when ordered with the auto, whereas the standard car gets a 2.56 gearset with the same tranny). I also wouldn't be surprised if a beefed up trans cooler and more aggressive calibration are part of the deal.
