Depending on how the official launch goes, if the feedback is still this bad it may accelerate the release of the next special model that will have an updated fascia.

wow. What a mess they have made of the front end! I was expecting something more cohesive.
This is flat out ugly! Take that chevy knock off front end off and you may have a winner.

Hard to believe the designers approved that boring nose. Otherwise it is a great car.:eyebulge:

Nothing I can say that hasn't been said already I guess. The original S550 design is such a knock out design. Pretty from every angle but still muscular and aggressive where it needs to be. They could have let that design run for 6-8 years easy. Maybe a few little trim refreshes (gloss black on a few bits for example) but honestly, they could have just run with it.

Part of the original S550 design evoked a European feel. It looks like Ford tried to double down on that with the Jaguar XK-ish face. The problem is that the rest of the car, especially the rear fender lines, are big and muscular. It's just not congruous with the rest of the car. This is not a $70k Jaguar F Type competitor. It's a pony car. Ford was designing with the wrong ambitions in mind.

Shit. I'm not butthurt.. I'm just glad that I have my current car and wouldn't be forced to buy one if I had to have a 5.0. It's still a great car and will perform well it just won't look as good doing it. :)

To each his own but I think the front of my car looks better and more aggressive. The headlights actually flow with the car and don't have this funky ass angles and bends that stop midways down the fender with a huge sidemarker.

As always, aftermarket will fix some of this stuff. I am not hating on the car because we still don't have much info but I've seen quite a few different pictures with the headlights and can confirm I will never like them.

I will keep on staying sexy :)

None of those really look like the 2018 video in all honesty. There are no prolonged shots of the entire car in motion which is the purpose of B-Roll Footage plus the music. Someone could have easily added music to this so I wont really count on that. The terrible green shading in all of the shadows looks way off especially for a Ford video and especially if you would expect this to be actual rolling footage IMO. Plus from what I have seen the video was released on some no name youtube page with 25 subscribers. Just seems kind of fishy to me. Why haven't we really seen any spy pictures of the new front end like we did with the 2013's or the 2010's or 2015's. I think this is the first time any of us have really seen something that looks like this. With any luck maybe it was the work of some creative genius who took the elements that you can see in the spy shots and created something based off of that. Maybe I'm in denial here, but it seems like an odd time to introduce a refreshed Mustang.
We have to real pictures of the Facelift beside the video, it's real. The seen elements fit perfectly what we could spot on the mules, like the boomerang tribars, the 5th Gen Angle of the headlights, or the lower chin.

At least my Rendering was not that far off, even though I didn't make the bumper ugly enough

I don't think it will accelerate anything. It may effect non validated parts if it doesn't do well. It will likely influence what rendering gets selected in the design competition for the S650.

I keep looking at it every once in awhile and hoping it grows on me, but it's not happening. This has made my decision on whether to get a current one or wait till 2018 a lot easier. Unless there are huge performance upgrades then get the 2018 and swap the front end pieces to the current style lol.

At this point, the 2018 is more attractive than the reveal of the 2015. I didn't like the initial magazine pictures of the red 2015 at first, then it grew to be great.

When you see a 2018 in person, it will probably bump the 2015 off. That is the nature of the beast... I didn't really like the CGI debut of the GT350 either but it is the real deal in person. The previous GT was basically a civilized version of the GT350... the 2018 is the dumbed down version of the GT500.

Thinner bumper, more air flow in, GT350 hood line and maybe track, maybe some GT350 light weighting.

It looks better than the GT did at its debut in 2015, I think everyone hated the front...

If this video, and the higher res pictures posted along with it, are fakes... it will be the greatest trolling of all time.

I kind of hope it is, though.

By far this is the most negative response I have seen towards a refresh. Usually it is almost always positive...

Frankly, I don't get what the fuss is all about. The changes are so minor that 99.9% of people wouldn't be able to tell a '15 from an '18 unless they were parked side by side looking at them from the front. I'm not a design freak nor am I into design details, that stuff usually means little to me. It's the same body with a few tiny tweaks. I'd be more interested in mechanical changes, if there are any.

Total non-event, IMHO.

Ford needs to release some pro shots of the car ASAP. I'm betting it will look a lot better.

This angle shows what a dramatic difference these changes made to the entire look of the car. Ford totally killed the vibe and flow of the original design.

I am guessing this is a small peak into the design elements we might see on the S650

Investment tip of the day: buy Roush stock.

They are going to sell a shitload of front bumpers for this thing.
no kidding. roush can't screw up now either!

because it's like they gave my almost 4 yr old a pair of scissors and said HERE CUT UP THE FRONT BUMPER and SAG the headlights

i don't get anyone who says they are minor changes. it went from happy and muscular to a damn sloth with a side of catfish without the whiskers.

that shot makes the car look like it had a stroke it's sloping so much in the front.
