I like it. At the risk of making myself unpopular :ninja:, I'd never really given much thought to any Mustang prior to the current model but I loved the S550 as soon as I first saw it, to me it was stylish and had real impact. This is obviously going to lose some of that because it's a only slight change to what we've spent the last 3 years getting used to - but I like it.

Didn't they lower the bonnet line to match the GT350 (presumably reducing overall costs)? What changes are there under the skin .... does it get magnetic dampers? Look forward to seeing one in reality, and hopefully also a 2018 GT350 ..... in RHD obviously

So far I've seen...

People saying they're keeping their S550's, which half won't and they'll be saying "the design has really grown on me" in about a year.

People who are saying it's going to increase the resale on their 15-17's-It won't, it's a mass produced Mustang, you're going to lose your ass if you sell it.

People saying how Ford Performance is doomed, it's not.

But please keep overracting

I'm not a fan of the front end either. My guess is the 2020 design is already laid out and it's going to be angular like the Camaro and this is the midstep to get to that angular body. The 2020 will probably have squarish front and components and harder body creases similar to the Camaro.

I feel like this color is what's throwing me off. It would look great in a ruby red imo.

Just my opinion but the '18 looks way better from the front 3/4 and more aggressive and has better lines. The '15 just looks all over the place with those hood lines/side lines/ridges.

Lights are weak/small on the '15. Front is soft vs more angular on the '18.

I showed this pick to my wife and she said "it's the same car, they just flipped the upper and lower grills... But looking at the grabber blue redux, it's a bigger RS.

And the rear spoiler looks like a 1990 camaro throw back too.

With that said, I don't hate it, I liked the camaro anyway LOL

Sounds like December 2014 all over again. And yet the "Fusion coupe" S550 has sold remarkably well.

I'm not having a dig......I really find it interesting that Mustang refreshes are so poorly received at first. I'm not saying you'll change your mind, but I'm sure many will.

:)
I think you are absolutely correct in saying many will. But to the guy/gal who has been waiting for a refresh, I think its a big disappointment. First time buyers will probably think it looks perfect.

Most of us get accustomed to things and think change is bad. When more often than not change is good. But in this case......

For me, the new front end doesn't do a thing for me. The rear looks fine. But I will keep my 2016 for years to come and I hope the next gen will have more appeal to me.

After looking at the image of it switched to black I will have to agree. Yellow is never a good color on a car anyways.

Chopping off the upper aft corner of the headlights is a big reason for the unnactractiveness IMO

Can't wait to see it in person at the Chicago auto show (not sure if that's confirmed or not). At first I didn't like it, but it's growing on me.

Not a disappointment for me or Twin. We both love it & have both been waiting for the refresh.

For me the S550 '15 was a big disappointment in comparison to what the Camaro did for tech/looks when they dropped their next gen (still wouldn't buy one).

This '18 IS to me what the 15 should have been (still waiting on interior changes).

Disagree. The current headlight running up the side showing chrome is unattractive. They went with the euro look here like Audi/BMW.

Spartan we get it you like it. Jesus christ dude. Half this thread is you trying to defend it. However the overall majority feels otherwise on the internet.
