Undoubtedly, the source of inspiration for this redesign:

I still can't figure out what's going on with that lower grille. Maybe a different insert is all it needs to look better.

I want to like it. I'm tryin Ringo, I'm tryin real hard.

Keep looking and keep not liking but...... a more aggressive lower bumper on higher end models could turn this pig

I'm with you. There's just WWAAYY too much going on in the lower grille. It was love at first sight with the S550 - shouldn't have to try this hard to continue to like the same car.

No thanks....

I feel the front end lost the aggressive look and grew some bags under its eyes, or like it's squinting. The taillights remind me of my 68's a bit, but those bend inward only once and not at an angle. I wonder what this will look like at night or with the brake lights on, cause right now its making me think 3 mini Civic taillights.

Well, now that I know there's nothing worth waiting for, I will decide if I trade my V6 in on a z-planned 17 GT, or just keep my 16 V6.

I don't care for the front end, the rear end is not bad minus that spoiler.

They could have just kept the body as is and just made a few semi-affordable specialty models, i.e. Mach I, Bullitt, etc..,

I could live with the refresh if they were dropping some weight and adding 35-50 HP, but I'd have a better chance of winning the lottery.

I guess we'll see how it looks in production in any other color; though Ford does have a single person in this thread that loves it. :D

Omg - that is so fn fugly!

Wtf - was Ford trying to do, a Mustang II retro?

They just tanked their sales for 2018 that's for sure.

"Thanks for the ugly refresh, Ford. You've not only made the old ones more attractive, the laws of used car pricing means that we can now buy the nicer one for less money."
