I worked at a dealership for a while and definitely fell in love but could never find THE one. I've been thinking about ordering a new premium gt. Does anyone have any pictures of the magnetic grey with the Black racing stripes? Also is the performance pack worth the money if I don't plan to track the car? I like the look of the black 19" rims but not sure it is worth the price...

Yes the pp is worth the extra money and i use mine as a daily driver for now, the torsen diff and brembos and suspension are worth it by themselves. However i got a significant discount buying one on a lot, so basically i got the pp for the price of a base car. But either way its deff worth it.

Most dealers will discount when you order. I paid 500 over invoice for my premium automatic.

I've always gotten better deals when ordering. The dealer knows it is sold and will not have to pay the lot insurance so they seem to be more willing to deal. My last order was a 2012 Raptor that I got at invoice.

I can't count the number of times I have read or heard things like, "If I had it to do over" or "I wish I had done ....." or "I should have gotten..."

My thought is if you are going to spend that much money and you are questioning in your mind if it's what you REALLY want, because of options or lack of, then you should order. If you truly don't care if it's exactly what you want or not, then buy off a lot.

And being "worth the money", if it's what you want, it's worth the money.

Either way, I hope you get the "One".

Absolutely order it if you want what is not available.
The worst part is the waiting. Mine took 10 weeks.

I was lucky to find the EXACT car I wanted at a nearby dealership. I suggest looking at online inventory of dealers near you, say within a 100-mile radius. If they don't have what you want, then you can always place an order.

I daily a PP GT. The PP was a must have option for me personally. PP = Brembo brakes, Torsen differential, bigger radiator, strut tower brace, K-member brace, bigger rear sway bar, oil pressure and vacuum gauges, chassis tuning, unique stability control tuning. I was able to find the model and color I wanted. Magnetic Metallic is a color you've got to see in person. Early on shopping on the computer, Magnetic Metallic wasn't being considered as a possible color choice...until I saw Magnetic in person in the sunlight. It's a gorgeous color, has some cool color variation at different angles, beautiful metal flake. Looks great with the black 19" PP wheels.

I'd really recommend getting the model, color and options you want. I found the exact model, color at a dealership 2.5 hours away...for a price my local dealers wouldn't match. It was worth the drive for sure.

autotrader, cargurus.com are great shopping tools.

I'd also recommend waiting a bit to see if you like the 2018 model changes.

Performance Pack 2, Magnetic shocks, Direct/Port injection, PTWA cylinder bore coating are all options I'd be interested in over getting a 2017 now.

If you don't care for the 2018 changes, the 2017's will see some big discounts when the refreshed 2018's hit the lots this summer.

I plan on ordering mine. In fact I'm waiting on a call back from Lebanon Ford so I can get things rolling.

From what I'm reading I the ordering section, it looks like orders are only taking 6 weeks now.

it has an engine!
I paid invoice OTD on my custom order. Settling on something youre going to be driving and paying good money on is a bad idea in my opinion if you have specific preferences , especially if youre keeping it for the next 6+ yrs. Youre much happier getting the color and options you wanted.

I recommend ordering. I work at a Ford dealership, and got $3k under invoice OTD.
My car is the only Grabber Blue GT w/ PP that's been delivered at our location. Don't settle; get exactly what you want.

I think when you order its hard to negotiate price comparing to grabbing something on the lot.
With that being said, Mustangs are so popular, there is alway something on the lot that meet your requirement.

I've never found the car I wanted setting on the lot and I decided I'm not going to settle for less than I want. I've special ordered the last to cars I have bought. The first was a 2013 Escape Titanium then my 2015 Mustang convertible. If it is with in your means order the car you want and don't settle for less.
