So now that the car is running 130+ in the traps I am having a hell of a time getting it to stop. Capitol Raceway doesn't have the longest runout either but W/E.

Anyone done a pad a rotor swap that has really helped them with the high speed stopping? I would love to put the PP brakes on but I won't spend the money on it any time soon.

Thanks for any advice.

Get a more aggressive pad that doesn't need a lot of heat. Talk to Optimum Performance.

Joe, an R8 pad would give you more initial bite, have greater fade resistance and offers a wide temperature range. You can run them on stock rotors or our Slotted rotors. This combination can be run on the street without issue. If you want you can also add R8's and rotors to the rear of the car to help balance the braking and also give you more stopping power.

Thanks all. I'll check out the Optimum stuff and price it out. I guess I'll try pads first and go from there.

I'd be curious what you find. My car's gone 142 and stops fine. In fact, I can't tell the difference between 142 and 128. Stops the same.
could just be something wrong i don't know about yet. I do notice that I can't use the line lock because there isn't enough pedal pressure. It goes to the floor before that bar for the line lock fills.

Sounds like something is up. Check fluid level? Check hoses for cracks? Seals?

Touched the brake system for any reason?

Sounds more like you have a fluid leak or master cylinder issue. Potentially sanding the rotor and rebedding the pads may help.

The brakes you have are pretty damn good... even if not this generations Brembos.

Haven't touched them. The car is going to the dealer in the spring for some weather trim coming off so maybe I'll have them take a look at it. I thought it was normal since it seems to stop fine under normal conditions.

Hey Joe if u just hold steady pressure on your pedal will it slowly fall to the floor.Cant remember when we playing with your linelock, but your pedal was definitely softer then mine.I know i have brembo's but should not feel different at a stop.
