Did something a little different with my wheel. In the process of removing all the silver / chrome from the interior, this is phase 1 of what I will be doing with the wheel. I will most likely re-do the pieces in a dark gray when the wheel comes back off.

Painted the chrome ring/pony, plus 3 insert pieces a matte metallic gray

I also removed the voice commands and cruise control, next up will be modifying the pieces at 3/9 o'clock to remove those controls and modify the back piece to be see through like the piece at 6 o'clock. I love the look of the basic steering wheels in some of the GT Porsches, so I thought I'd try to replicate that. Super easy to change by too if I find I need any of those buttons.
Really cool actually! Can't wait to see it finished up!

Final assembly of the three day task of installing a Blowfish Racing Tow Hook, JLT Brake Cooling Kit, Custom Car Grills mesh grille, and a brake job up front while I was at it. After completion, I gave the beast a wash and took it out for a burger. Good fun all around.

I went stock > Steeda > Lund > FI. Power-wise the Lund tune felt stronger and driveability seemed better when comparing 91 to 91. Not apples to apples but I loved Lund's E85, too.

Man, that rear concave is so sweet.
LOL. I can't believe deep dish wheels are so far removed from the public lexicon that people seem to lust after them now.

I betcha the kids would go crazy for wheels like this today! But man, they were everywhere when I was a kid.

Back on topic, I looked at my car today. Haven't touched it since.... September? Can't wait for April to roll around and bring her out again!

I'm glad we're over the ugly american racing wheel trend. LOL. But concave and deep dish are two different things. You don't really see many cars running deep dishes anymore other than on an occasional vette.

I got my car aligned last night. First time since dropping it in Sept. I was waiting to decide if I wanted to keep it were it was or adjust it but I decided I wasn't going to touch the height and lock it in. All sides camber was pretty much dead on with the same spec but we weren't able to remove much of any of it. We did remove a lot of toe off the front and rear.

Thanks.

I am on BC-BR Coilovers.

I just absolutely love the way these car sits when lowered. They are so mean, especially when you walk up so it and see normal cars parked beside it. Car is almost exotic. Can't tell you how many times I get approached or complimented. S550 is a home run for sure. I have a thing for white cars so I told them I was only leaving if they found me a PP in oxford white. Luckily the dealership down the road had one. I passed on a premium 17 plat white for this one because I like pure white. My last WRX was pretty much the same as platinum white. I like metallics but you can't beat a solid color.
