The 275/35/20 is just tall enough that it very lightly rubs in front on the plastic fender liner when you turn and hit a bump at the same time. Also want to be wider and smaller diameter tires with my 3.31 gears. Tires will be lighter as well.
Thought it might have a bit to do with tire height and clearance. I was considering 30 profile as an option but I'm concerned with rough roads with the shorter sidewall. I also guess 10 more mm in width will pretty much take away the minimum stretch as well.

If you do try the new tire size I'd like to see some pics when they are on as I'm sure it would probably happen before I get tires and get my setup mounted in spring.

Wider will protect the wheels a bit more as well. I might have to take a fender roller to my rear fenders to clear the 285s but we shall see.

Woot another believer haha I have been using the Accelera Phi / 2 on my daily for years now and honestly they are well worth it.
Wet traction is honestly the only fault I can find, but honestly it seems to have gotten better with time so it might have just been the release compound on them. The first 500 miles they seemed a little slick in the rain and it rained a lot right when I got them. I will replace with the same when I go 285/30/20. These 275/35/20 cost be right at $420 shipped for 4 tires. 3000 miles on them so far and not much wear considering I do at least one rolling burnout a day.

Terminator2 are you using plastic hub rings to center the wheels with lugs?

That would be nice too since I'd be less scared to curb a wheel but I'm just not ready to start convincing stuff to fit haha. Will just park very carefully next to curbs and try out the 275/35 setup first.

What are you lowered on?

yes he is the wheels are not hubcentric to the vehicle, but that is not a big issue there.

No hub rings of any kind. I bought aluminum ones but they had a lip that wouldn't allow them to work with these wheels so I couldn't use them.

Hey guys,

Looking at wheel options and so far really digging the look and the weight of the Bathursts. The question is, can I run them 20x10.5 et 40 squared? I think rears will be fine but not sure if fronts will clear the Brembos on my PP. Thanks in advance!
Once you get your size issues sorted, what colour Bathursts are you thinking and what colour is the car body?
I have a Magnetic with gunmetal Bathursts and wished I'd got silver
Cheers
Phil
