Ordered my Mustang on the 26/05/16 and going off what my salesman was saying it would be at least a 12 month wait.
I get a call yesterday afternoon (coincidentally my birthday) and was told that a guy with the exact same order as mine wanted to change colour so he had to go to the back of the line and re-order and I was the next cab off the rank for that order.
My current car is on a lease and I have a guy I work with who has been saying since I bought it that he wants first dibs if I sell. I messaged him last night and told him it's his and how much I need so he will get back to me after he discusses things with the (financial advisor) wife.
I will also be taking the car on Tuesday to my dealer to see what they'd give me on a trade and if it all works out in my favour with the Mustang being on a boat as we speak on it's way to Sydney to land on the 02/12/16 my salesman says I should be driving it home by Xmas Eve.
I have nothing to lose right and everything to gain as I fully expected at least 12 months of waiting. I'm excited and nervous all rolled into one. I'd love it to be in time for Xmas but I'm not holding my breath either but you never know.
