There are 2 types of damage as indicated in the legend on the report document. It would've been blue in that case.

Anyway, my actual car being only a couple of weeks away, knowing the fact that major damage has been repaired will stay at the back of my head throughout the years :).

Go for it noboot you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Someone else will snap it up if you don't. I ordered my car a day after you on the 27/5/16 and was lucky enough to queue jump as well and will be picking my car up on the 21/12/16, nice little Xmas present. I was a bit iffy about doing it and thought it would be met with anger here but everyone told me to go for it as they are with you. Enjoy your Xmas present too mate!

Hey guys, make sure you check the condition reports in Prixcar before Ford tries to sell you a damaged vehicle!

http://e2.prixcar.com.au/e2/pdfRead...7_20161020_1_SenderVehicleConditionReport.pdf

Mofo pretended didn't know. LMAO if he thought I wouldn't be checking all the things...
quick question.

were you planing to do this for your intended car, or you are only doing this for this car because you dont know the origin of this car. also if u dont mind sharing, did you have to pay for the report or was it free, because on the report it said that it charges towards ford Australia.

i ordered my car in late september, and i am kinda worried now with dealers selling damaged car as new. ( i am secretly praying for a similar call from my dealer).

grateful for this thread !

I discovered it by accident for this particular car, but knowing this I will be definitely doing the same for my one too. It's free, though I heard that for cars that don't have any damage at all, the report might not be available at all. So, hoping for no records found when my car gets off the ship :)

I have posted a thread with the details how to get to the report:

Transit damage is, for lack of a better term, fairly common. Thousands of cars are moved around daily, accidents happen. In most cases it's very minor.

Not saying it's right for them to not inform the buyer but it happens across all brands and always has. Just never occurs to most people that it's a possibility and in the past, this sort of instant information just wasn't available.

What would you do if your car comes up as having minor damage upon delivery? Refuse to accept it and wait another 12 months? I'm not certain myself. On another car without a long wait I may not accept it. I would at least try and use it as a bargaining point to get some things thrown in.

If its minor damage or cosmetic damage doesn't bother me at all. but the report in wortex's case is consider major damage, that would worry me and i'll probably get someone to take a closer look

Thanks mate but I just couldn't make the numbers work in my favour no matter how hard I tried. Early delivery was just not meant to be for me.

The guy I had lined up to buy my lease car couldn't do it at this time and the trade in price the dealer offered me was way off the mark.

Good luck to whoever it is after me who gets an early Xmas present. I hope they really enjoy it.
