After much reading and learning I am heading down the PMAS / Lund tune route but before I do has anyone experience of Dreamscience. Its a UK firm and therefore saves the hassle of imports etc. I think the down side maybe data logging and re writing as its out the box, but any info on the package would be great. THey run JLT CAI with tune loaded on to iMAP handset

Seconded what Jimboy2 said, go LUND, if you want massive gains, and proper care taken on your engine, go with people that know the engines through and through, which is Lund for the GT and AdamTune / TUNE+ for the EB.

Otherwise wait for a ford warranty approved one; less push, but still gains :)

PMAS is the only CAI out there proven to give any real gains.

Lund are one of the most experienced Coyote tuners.

Buying an NGauge from the likes of AmericanMuscle or CJPP really isnt much hassle.

or an SCT USA tune box (The tunes are locked to DOM (USA) or NON-DON (EU/UK) 'Tune boxes')
Gibbo205 can give you the full beans on it :p

Ask Dreamscience to first change their name to something less "techno rave club" sounding and then to give you a free tune in exchange for proclaiming how wonderful it is on forums.

They do not write their own tunes, just an SCT canned tune.

OK advice taken, that's why we ask for sure. Gibbo205 Lethal performance reckon the Lund and PMAS will add on 25-30 hp however you are gaining about 50? Is this because you did some data logging and Lund updated it? How easy is it to do this data logging lark with the SCT?. I have researched it and most say it's easy but then I am no techy at all, so would like some real world experience

I would as alway welcome some advice, I am here to to take it ! Well on engine stuff I am !

If you have not purchased the SCT yet maybe think
Of the NGAUGE route I have that it's so simple and looks
Great in the dash just remove the centre air vents it lives there

How easy is it to do the data log from that ngauge? I thought it had a an SD card of some type that links to the computer? Or does it connect to a lap top through the small port in the front?

Data logging my 15 year old takes care of it its all touch screen stays plugged in the OBD port, you can access the cars data on screen, all data logging tunes etc are stored on the SD card, you can switch tunes in 3 minutes, has a small port on the Front for laptop just down load and email to Lund 24h later New tune with updated mapping if required I'm on my 6th tune started with a base map and went from there, I can only say it's made my whipple car a perfect driver, Granny and Track ready on one tune, my Father drove it the other day he thought it was stock till I encourage him to press the Throttle harder. The feed back you get from your tuner makes it personal he explains he changes and why to the revised tune and asks what they can do to make it better for you, 5 star firm.

nGauge is indeed nicer, I am considering buying one just to have the fancy gear change lights/buzzers and easier datalogging.

One issue with nGauge is it cannot do a crank re-learn and I found on my car and several other UK guys have had that when you flash a tune to the car, you get engine light on and you need to do a crank re-learn which is a function the nGauge cannot perform.

The good news is anyone with an SCT X4 can perform this task for you in 5 minutes no problem so if your buying nGauge maybe ask on the forums if anyone local to you has an SCT X4.

Lund tune is the best way to go, they will perfect the tune for you on the fuel you intend to run, this is important because if they tune and setup your car on Vpower 99 or Tesco 99 that means you *MUST* only run that fuel, if you find yourself putting cheap rubbish in the car will pull timing but you also risk detonation.

Octane 90 = Regular unleaded (RON 95)
Octane 91 = Regular super-unleaded (RON 97)
Octane 93 = Vpower / Tesco 99 (RON 99)

When you order your tune it is very important you understand that is you choose an Octane 93 tune that you must only put in Octane 93, if you ever have to put less in the car, take it easy and avoid WOT (wide open throttle).

Because Lund spent a lot of time going backwards and forwards tuning my car it hold 27-28 degrees timing WOT perfectly safe on Vpower 99. The stock car runs around 21-22 degrees WOT on regular 95-97 fuel, stick in Vpower and it will normally advance that timing to around 23-24 degrees giving some additional torque in mid-range.

So best advice find someone local with an SCT in case you need it, buy a Lund tune with nGauge from likes of CJ Pony etc. and once they have that tune dialled in you will be gaining in the region of 30-40BHP on the stock car, add a CAI that actually works like PMAS and your gains will be 50+ horsepower and 50+ lb/ft and trust me on this my god do you notice those extra horses, I have rolled with stock tuned Mustangs and a tuned car just pulls away due to the extra horsepower and the higher RPM limit, so your changing gear less. ;)

Nope, your stuffed and would have to drive to someone with an SCT or get them to come to you, or go to Ford.

But hey imagine asking Ford for a crank re-learn they would have no bloody idea, haha. :D

P.S. If your getting Lund tune, go ahead, if you get the engine light I would not mind popping round with my SCT, once its cleared you will be fine. I find it is only when going from stock to tune or changing tuners that seems to trigger it. Doing tune updates with same tuner seems to cause no issue.
