Both cars will experience the tramlining, but its more pronounced by the the combination of significantly stickier tires (cup 2's) and the fact that the carbon wheels are almost 50% lighter than the alloy 350 wheels. Very light weight with increased stick = less forces to overcome when the road wants to drag a wheel to the left or right.

The difference in width between the 295 and 305 would be smallest contributing factor of the 3 :cheers:

I think you have a point, its much more abou the lightweight wheels, much easier for the car to change direction, less resistance.

Where do you look up the width information (just curious how other tires are)?

No sweat; as far as I know, I've only been able to find this information from TireRack. If you look at any tire, you can open the "specs" tab, which lists tire weight, circumference, pressures, tread width, section width, etc. with explanations for each if you click on the links. Interesting to note that the Cup 2's are significantly lighter than the Supersports, and lighter than their rivals like the Tropheo R's and other track tires, which is key due to the weight all being saved from the outermost portion of the wheel.

Have you considered bulb tape on the hood where it makes contact with the headlights to help with the hood lift?

That does work on track, however I'm not the most responsible driver. Sometimes this happens on the street too. :gossip:

Here's what I mean. Except I'd put it on the underside of the hood and not the light itself. Should help with hood lift from keeping air from lifting the hood at speeds.

I honestly never noticed it for the first 300 miles. I added the gas struts simply because I prefer them to the prop rod. Even deep into 3 digits, my hood does not flex. Perhaps it would at high speed without them. Not sure.

Im guessing the props press up on hood so its under tension and flexes less.

I notice mine move a little even at 90ish. Its down right scary in the 150+ range. When I had tape between the front seams, it totally went away and was rock solid. VooDooo has an incredibly great ideal.

Regarding hood flex, you can adjust the center latch position, pulling the hood down a little further, which might help with the flex. I haven't noticed flex on my car, but maybe I just haven't been paying enough attention. Seems like if it isn't on every car, there should be a way to remove it from those that are experiencing the flex.
