Has anyone seen the pricing for a Corsa catback from Bestexhaust in Canberra, talk about Mustang tax. They want $4100.00 for sport catback with black tips, same system can be bought from the States for $1500.00 US including shipping.
That's insane. You can get a full exhaust for that much, and my Xtreme was half that :eyebulge:

I'd be happy to take you up on that offer at some point. No rush though as my car is at least 8 months away so I'm unlikely to order an exhaust for at least another 6 months LOL.
No problems at all mate, happy to meet up whenever!

So their cat back will fit the stock system? I am planning on getting a hurrican cat back system and install it by myself first.
Yes it does, I had their catback to begin with

Yep agreed, I have the xforce catback it has a great sound with little price compared to other systems. And when I have spare coin the headers and cats will be bolted on as well. Why do people seem to flock towards the insanely megga buck systems mystafies me.

Since you quoted me, and I got what is one of the most expensive American catbacks, I can give you a why. Despite sounding like the angry adolescent offspring of a Maserati and a fighter jet, there is absolutely zero drone  also once I'd heard it, nothing else came close in my decision

Yup, thats a good reason right there :headbang: just like why would anyone pay such good money for a Mustang when you can by a commodore for less  Haha, I reckon good on everyone for their choices... Its Mustang culture :first:

I'm happy with stock for now. I think it sounds nice but is way too quiet. It will do for now but I will replace it when I have some spare cash lying around doing nothing

Love the birds chirping in the back ground.
Which mufflers are these, not the varex by the look / sound of it.

I have gone and done it, I said I wouldn't

Just ordered a set of Borla axle backs S-type, leaving the factory resonator in place. I have heard that it is a tiny bit quieter than the full touring cat back system with the Borla resonator.

Not after performance, just the sound like a V8 should, but not offensive or likely to gain unwanted attention.

Has anyone else got this combination, would love to hear your opinion.

Thanks in advance

I had Borla Touring Cat back fitted last week - has mid resonator. Whilst it sounds great and I get thumbs up out of car windows, and people coming up to me to tell me how awesome it sounds - deep tone, all that its just way way too loud. This is a US 2.5" system.
Way too loud even with a light throttle. Give it the welly and it is thunderous -very loud, impressive noise, nascar type rat a tat V8 AMG like blare (louder than an E63 but never raspy) - cop bait - I expect the blue-lights behind me in no time. My wife can hear me >300 mtrs away as I gently drive our street home.

The solution will be diff central resonator - the stock one must really pull the noise. So folks that listen to videos thinking its slightly amped up - nothing of the sort - its double/triple the noise, even more on full noise. Touring are the S type with mid resonator. EU/Aust versions are said to be quieter and his may be a solution.

It does not drone, but wider throttle openings in tall gears will give more cabin noise and would get tiresome. On freeway cruise throttle in cabin - it recedes to a whisper.

Now I have heard louder - a Magnaflow comp maybe cat back at Sirromet on a CO the other week - that is louder than this - nuts.

Wow! Is it that loud? This is the exhaust I'm about to purchase and now you're making me second guess as I'm in the car at 5am for work. I thought it was only a few db's louder than stock......
