In today's Daily Mirror (21st Sep), there is a full page advert on page 20 on the "Ford blink and you'll miss it" sale with "up to £500 off".

Fine and dandy, except the not-so-small print states:
"Vehicles must be gate released prior to 31st May 2016, contracted between 9th & 19th September and registered by 30th September 2016."

So on the 21st they are advertising an offer that expired on the 19th - this might explain why their marketing is so hit and miss - in this case, they blinked and missed it!

This advert isn't in tune with the "Unlearn" campaign either, but there is a full page advert in the Times with "Unlearn" for a Focus Titanium on a personal lease.

So much for consistency! :headbonk:

(As you can tell, I am having a quiet day..!)

I guess we'll all need to Unlearn all we know about Ford if we ever want to buy another car from them...

We should just be thankful they're not in charge of a nuclear power station.

Seems like a typo with the offer ends date and I wonder if they are just trying to flog cancelled orders. Probably orders cancelled by people that read the forums!

I agree, who do we think would come out bottom of a "efficiency poll" Ford or Southern Rail?

Feel free to add more prospective candidates !!!

Could you use the offer on a Mustang? That has to be the 1st "deal" for the mustang if you can
Hmmm - you might be able to, if you can find a car in stock... it says: "£250 off the OTR price on Fiesta, B-MAX & Ecosport models with a customer saving of £500 off the OTR price on all other eligible new Ford cars. The customer saving is in addition to all other existing promotions at participating dealers."

Usually the Mustang, Focus RS and Vignales are specifically excluded from this kind of offer.

Virgin Media. Slightly off topic... They have no concept of the words 'customer' or 'service'.
