That material will not deform. It doesn't look any worse than the accordian that comes int he cars. And if you get it in black, it won't look so bad. But does that actually provide a benefit (just replacing with a smoother tube), especially price to hp value ratio? Meh...

PMAS (and Steeda) made it a point to slap up dyno graphs and people with those intakes also posted dyno graphs and proved those do something. I've been stupid enough to buy replacement tubes on previous cars and they did nothing but create drony air sucking noise and in one vehicle measurably reduce TQ.
It could collapse if the filter is too restrictive. I had a long silicone elbow tube like that on my turbo cobalt going to my stock airbox and while it never fully collapsed (that I know of) it used to oscillate some and it must have been somewhat restrictive as i would get compressor choke on cold starts (my bypass valve would flutter and idle vac was all over the place). I think the stock tube is better looking in this case.

The PMAS intake itself isn't ugly. It's the "airbox" part. I've seen it in person. Looks like it's hand carved. If that could be improved, it'd be a work of art. If I had the 3D modeling and 3D printing capabilities, I would make a better airbox. And slap my logo all over it like Airaid does because I can...
Nooooo...that stupid yellow logo is the only reason I looked up the Livernois instead of AirRaid.

It is rough. No doubt. Since PMAS recommended opening the air inlet up more, I did just that. I opened the inlet up and smoothed out the cuts when I was done. Was easy to do as I had the tools to do it. The box is still rough to look at. Not sure if it is hand formed or vacuum formed, but it could be cleaner looking.

Whereas the Roush intake set up looks OE. The quality is great. The box looks well made, is smooth and has a nice design to it. But it has that baffled tube elbow that isn't exactly appealing. I am sure most people could complain about every kit on the market. I think they have. haha But at least we have some great options available to us.

The best aspect of being a modder and owning a Mustang--there is no aftermarket that compares with the sheer number of options we get. There is something for everybody.

Yeah, the Roush looks very similar to the GT350 cold air kit. Very OE looking and quality.

The PMAS is ugly. Hand carved piece of art? Rofl. Not sure how the mishimoto tube looks like and aliens stomach. Lol. The R&D mishimoto puts in is top notch. That thing wont collapse. That tube only with no tune has some decent gains for just that part. I wonder what a full intake from them would do. But i really am not worried about an intake anytime soon so maybe a better looking option may present itself.

The Pmas is really not that ugly especially in person. It's massive and imposing looking in a good way. The first generation tube was kinda weird looking but the newer tubes are much nicer looking.
To each his own but I would never put that long silicone hose on my car after having one just like it on a previous car. The normal price on that silicone hose is going to be about as much as a whole Pmas intake with the filter and MAF tube. Huge waste of money for probably almost zero actual gains.

I wouldnt pay full price for it. And im sorry every picture of the PMAS is ugly. It doesnt change from in person to a picture so it looks the same. I get the function thing but it has no form.

Don't be so defensive. There are a lot of pictures of the PMAS floating around, and a lot of people have never even seen the Mishimoto intake, so of course the PMAS is going to receive more negative commentary on its appearance. It's a good-performing intake that just happens to lack aesthetic appeal.
Definitely not defensive :) I just don't understand people sometimes

If you squint real hard maybe.
The maf tube looks like a drunk made it with his feet.
Was it the same drunk who made the PMAS look like a cardboard toy?
