Will Steeda Short Throw Shifter cure notchy gear change

Looking to fit the Steeda short throw shifter,
Obviously the throw will be improved, but will it help the notchy stock gear change?

Will fit the Bushing bracket kit & transmission mount bushing insert also to complete the job.

I had a similar issue with a notchy shifter and I chose to purchase an MGW and it has been one of my favourite modifications. Once the MGW is installed you shouldn't need any other modifications

If getting rid of the notchy change is the aim then just swapping the oil to BG is likely to give you the best result.

I swapped to a Barton shifter and there wasn't much improvement in terms of smoothness IMO. Swapped the oil yesterday and there was a reduction in notchiness and others have reported a big difference by swapping the oil on the stock shifter.

Also as mentioned above, making sure you have good quality / fresh transmission oil is also essential for high performance cars. However on a brand new car, that shouldn't really be an issue, unless its been thoroughly cooked.

This changing to BG oil on mine did make an improvement, I would say not as drastic as some of the other guys make out in the BG thread, but it was for sure noticeable and I'd do it again.

RSCooper on here did the BG and said it might a night and day difference, well worth a try as its not expensive and very easy to do.

Same experience here. Not a notch to speak of on my car now.

Does not solve drive train noise, though. No shifter will.
