Just called Intercity and to get it shipped from Owings Mills, MD to Baton Rouge, LA (1175 miles) is gonna cost $1,695.00. :eyebulge::eyebulge:

Still waiting on Ford to call me and present me with the options they have in mind. Do you guys think it's going to be more expensive or think it'll be cheaper? Contemplating my options.
If you get to order from them, ask for courtesy delivery. If your selling dealer will do it, you need to have the receiving dealers info. What you should do now is call all your local Ford dealers and see who provides courtesy delivery, and how much.

:D Much appreciated. So if my local dealership does courtesy delivery, I'd have to ask Intercity as well and they work something out or how does that work? Would Ford cover the cost of shipping from MD to their lot?

When you do courtesy delivery, Ford ships the car to your receiving dealer, instead of the selling dealer. The receiving dealer may or may not charge you a fee. The receiving dealer has to do the PDI and splitter install, and they didnt sell you the car, so thats why they may charge you a fee. This is a Ford process, not Intercity.

Gotcha. I'm on the plane right now but I just hit up my local sales guy through FB and he mentioned they'd only be able to do that if I had ordered it directly from Ford :(. In this case I had already bought the car from a Ford dealership out of the state so he says they wouldn't be able to arrange anything after Ford ships the car to the selling dealer.

That really sucks :(

Ahh, gotcha. I've already signed the paperwork, got insurance on the car, and all. So at this point we're just evaluating shipping options so they can move it off of the showroom floor.

Apologies, yea your only options now are finding your own reliable shipping company.

Dealership found "someone" that'll ship for $100 cheaper than Intercity. Worth it? Sounds like a lot of guys here have used Intercity so I'm contemplating.

Unless your dealer is shopping Intercity(Who owns all the trucks, and hires its own drivers, assuming 100% responsibility) against a comparable, and reputable company, I wouldn't cheap out. I could've saved 25% by going through a broker(who assume no responsibility once your car is picked up, then you have to deal with that independent contractor).

hey it's you again! glad to know that you're able to find the car sooner than expected:cheers:

Mine arrived just two days ago. Don't even bother with that 100 bucks. Just deal direct with Intercity, you won't regret it. The truck driver was professional and courteous, he kept me posted by calling me and letting me know where he was on the road. He even showed me the inside of his home-on-the-road. LOL

On a serious note: the driver from a shipping company (in this caliber) can also verify the conditions on the body work of you car at the time of pick up (from the dealership that you bought it from). I know the driver also checked the front lip too because I asked my dealer to take a video during the pick-up, and saw the driver on his knees with a flash light checking. that's cool !

Here are couple pics of my delivery:

Sup man! Thanks a lot!!

I ended up just continuing to go through Intercity since I had gotten a lot of good feedback here about them. I'm really excited and looking forward to this. I think they're scheduling a driver right now still so I haven't had to pay just yet, but I'll be really excited to know when they've actually picked up the car. They're going to get pictures and a video for me with them loading up the car.

Really excited to see you have yours though man. I'm living through you right now, lol. I won't even be home until the 23rd and literally just placed submitted my order with Intercity like 2 hours ago.
