Anyone seriously interested in one? My dealer had one become available.

It's an awesome car. I was considering one when I bought my 350. I never test drove because I assumed because it is such a small car that the backseat would be unusable. I assumed wrong lol. The backseat is actually larger than the 350 imo. It's as fast or faster than an m4 around most tracks, for much less money. I'm sure the gt350 is faster, but you can't go wrong with the m2.

It was definitely on my list. But there was zero availability.

I test drove an M4 last weekend. I'm irritated with Ford about the cooler thing, so I'm looking at options. I decided a BMW isn't for me right now. The turbo six doesn't make any cool sounds. The buttons on the console you push to change modes and such seem really cheap to me. They are cool looking and quick, though. BMW also makes really great manual transmissions. The stereo is better than the Ford.

It was definitely on my list. But there was zero availability.
Huh, around here it's as simple as placing an order. It will take a while to get one, but no trouble with getting one if you want it.

Neat car but many I would rather have - GT350/997/R8 are the only 3 cars I would pay good money for right now.

Ok well zero availability if instant gratification was required.

Never driven an M series car. Would like to though. My friend is thinking about trading his '14 GT500 vert for a 350 or maybe a 4-door M6.

This is stock, but not like any BMW I've ever heard.

Funnily enough, the M2 actually sounds far better than the M4, despite being a "less special" engine. Nobody is quite sure how BMW managed to make the S55 sound so... boring.

I test drove the BMW M2 just before I bought my GT350. It's a very nice car, but I wanted the GT350 due its looks and sound over the M2. The test drive didn't change my mind and I've never looked back.

I can't think of two more different cars for two very different purposes than a M6 vs a GT350.

I would have a really hard time buying an M2 over an M3/4. They are too close in price IMO to make the decontented M2 worth it. For the extra 10-12k you really get a lot more with the M3/4. I know 10-12k is a lot of money, but you are most like going to spend 55k on the M2 and might as well go the extra ten and get a much nicer overall car in the M4.

The M2 is truly a parts bin special and another big profit margin vehicle IMO for BMW.
