Let's breakdown the possibilities:

Shelby already has a "GT Ecoboost" based off the of the Mustang Ecoboost, so if the "E" is for Ecoboost, it'd be based off a V6/V8. There's a premium rear valence in the pictures and the V6 coupe doesn't have that (plus is short on features overall anyway), so that leaves the base model to be the GT. But then that doesn't make sense because boosting the V8 will require a wider tire to make the extra power useable.

If the "E" is for electric, then it could either share the same drivetrain or go AWD. If it shares the same drivetrain, there's better/cheaper ways to get even more power to the rear wheels, so that wouldn't really be worth the extra R&D. If they could go AWD (assuming they get electric motors to fit in the front), then they could put down more power without needing wider tires. It would certainly be an unique offering.

Lastly, it could be an appearance pack like a Roush Stage 2, and/or have a small power bump like the Shelby GT Ecoboost did. There's not much custom work besides the spoiler and exhaust that we can see in the pictures, so it wouldn't provide much value to your dollar if this is the case.

The electric AWD option would be interesting/unique, but I'm leaning towards this being an appearance pack with little or no changes under the hood.

It makes absolute sense. The Kessel run was a route, or I should say many possible routes through the Kessel system. Han was able to make it through the Kessel system in the shortest possible route ever. He made it in 12 parsecs. In a nutshell, Han was able to take the Falcon from point A to point B in the shortest route to date.

Keith, thank you for posting. I think something that really resonates with people (in a negative manner) is the disappointing performance and high cost of the last Super Snake.

SA should be disappointed that their product has not met customer demand and or expectations.
