I love mustangs but I agree. If they leave us hanging, I'm done with them also.
Don't get me wrong, I'll fix my Shelby and I'll drive the crap out of it. But my wife's next SUV won't be an explorer. I won't buy any focuses for my kids. And I won't buy me a ford sedan as a daily after I'm done paying for my wife's next SUV.

Will the Shelby still be in the garage? Most likely, but I won't go to Ford for anything I don't have too.

I was in the never again camp after Ford refused to warranty a failed slave in my son's new at the time SVT Focus. This car was my first new Ford since then. After our family boycott, we bought a Nissan and Toyota truck, a Honda CRV, a Chevy Traverse, a GTO, Camaro, HHRSS, Silverado 1500, Silverado 3500, an Imprezza and maybe a few others. These would have been all Fords had they handled our failed slave differently. I guess some things never change. Nedless to say, I'm no longer brand loyal.

We have owned some fords prior to the GT350 but if they don't handle the cooler issue correctly, it will be our family's last.

Yes, numerous "I spoke with a FP rep and they said...". All hear say. Guess We'll find out in a couple weeks.
This is what I have been posting for some time. FP said "All hear say" All the rumors of FP saying the are working on or will have a fix for the tech trans are false. No one has any concrete evidence to the contrary. I will what a little longer then it is time to play hardball. I think you know what I am talking about and I hope you will join me. I am starting talks with my professionals. I for one will not let this issue go easily. Ford is big but they have lost cases in the past.

Is it possible for an always on cooler setup to keep the Trans Fluid "too cold"?

Most certainly, most systems have a thermostatically controlled bypass for that reason. Note the pump will heat the fluid as its pumped so that helps the too cold issue.

Absolutely, on the way home from Mustang Week I accidentally left the pump switch on, on the highway for about 20 minutes. I finally noticed it when my Ngauge was reading 118 degrees.

Is 118 deg. too cold? My '17 rarely gets above 127-130 unless I hammer it really hard and even then it drops back to around 127 fairly quickly ... street not track, btw.

Unlikely. There is too much under car radiant heat. On the street it may display "cold" but the fluids (OEM or Ours) will function fine at lower temps. If you are running a track day with the pump running 100% time it will still heat soak towards the end of the session. The cooler only has so much capacity. The idea is to just keep it out of limp mode during a 20 minute session. If it is only 100F driving on the street it won't effect anything, the parts are all warmer than that and will not cause any issues.

Since the factory cooler system uses a gear pump internal to the tranny it is always on, right? If it is thermostatically controlled how does this work? If it's with some sort of valve wouldn't this mean a varying backpressure on the pump and system? Maybe some sort of bypass?

So, having an always on aftermarket cooler won't be harmful even in cold weather?

Manual transmission. It's cold at start-up, it is still warming up, the oil is just cooler. I don't forsee many Shelby owners DD'ing them in 0F weather. Any modern fluid in a manual transmission is extremely fluid above 50F. Heat soak from the 200F+ Engine and 800F+ exhaust will keep it plenty warm.
